(Now if only someone from Social Games or Wizkids were on the boards...)

I'm over on the Cyberpunk CCG forums(aka- Social Games), I'll post something over there about this and see if they respond.

True Deadlands or True Cyberpunk would sound really fricken cool to see run... and this goes for both Deadlands Weird West, Lost Colony and Hell On Earth (where I think there is an adventure hook where the undead Peter Adkinson forces post apocolyptic heroes to play a deadly LARP in a holodeck equipped WOTC store in downtown Seattle.)

With the constant prop use of poker chips and playing cards in the RPG proper, it shouldn't be too tough to work out reward systems or methods of play.

But Cyberpunk asks alot more creativity- Would the Netrunner have to play video games to get through his tasks? Would the solo be armed with a dart gun that he plinks at targets? and how the heck would you work in reporters or fixers?

Still, I'd put good money down on any of those events, that is if I could make it to either show.

I would be interested in a scifi related True event. Seems like a lot of potential ideas to explore there.
I also like the idea of a True event not based on an existing concept. For example, going into a D&D related event I expect combat and magic to work a certain way. True Adventures has to design their systems around these expectations. Things were even more so for True Heroes to make the system work like the card game. And I think the systems developed have worked well but here is an oppurtunity to build a game that uses systems designed for people walking through, handling, and manipulating props. For example, avoid using existing scifi related concepts such as Star Wars. People would be expecting to use lightsabers, the force, etc. Similar ideas might be used but they could be adjusted to fit more appropriately into the game. Sometimes existing concepts can not be duplicated in a True event. Of course, the drawback would be lack of funding that might be available for existing scifi related topics which might be needed for another True event to develop. And it is still fun to feel some connection to characters and places already known even if it isn't exactly the same.
