TOPIC: Only One Problem with this

Only One Problem with this 19 years 3 months ago #13

Actually I was going to bring as many of my gaming group as possible in 05. That way I know what to expect from them and, I can kick the crap out of them if they screw up!

Back in the early 80's at the AD&D Open Tournament at Gen Con, my friends and I hooked up with some good gamers and we ended up meeting every year for the same slot. I am hoping that True Dungeon will become a tradition like that for many gamers.

True Dungeon is meant to be a real challenge that takes a good team to best. A successful team needs individual members who possess good problem solving, puzzle solving, hand and eye coordination, steady nerves and a good memory. Figure out what you are best at, and then try to find a team that needs that.

I would probably make a good fighter, as I think I can slide a "20" when the group really needs it.

So, go out and try to find some good gamers and maybe you will make some life-long friends.

The first year of TD, we basically went through with our game group from home. Different people are good at different things, and having all that worked out ahead of time is great. Also, having built-in teamwork makes things run more smoothly. We were one person short, and we ended up getting Raven to fill our final slot. And she was awesome! So the next year we brought most of the same group, and hooked up with Raven again. That year we were two people short and met up with a couple of new guys. We worked out who would play what ahead of time, and we worked very well together as a team and totally kicked ass!

So, having a group that you're already familiar with is great. Plus, the luck of the draw has given us some great players to fill in our extra slots. Players that we would gladly meet up with for future True Dungeon runs. Once you find a group that works well together, you're set. Short of having a great group worked out ahead of time, having the bulk of the slots is also good. That way, you can at least ensure that one of your friends is the Cleric.

Yeah, I know! I have to have one of my friends be the celeric, I can't take the same chance in 05.

And if they don't heal me this time, I know where they live!
