The problem with cameras is that the flash can be seen by everyone throughout the dungeon. That split second of bright light can distract a party in the next room trying to solve a puzzle or break the concentration of someone trying to disarm a trap.

Can you use a camera if you don't use the flash? My digital camera can take short movie clips (30 seconds) and I was considering attaching to to myself and turing the camera on from time to time, especially if we got through a room early. No flash, and I expect the quality would be poor, but maybe it'll turn out OK.

If I wanted to get really, really crazy I'd try to rent a hands free camcorder. Not going to, but the thought did occur to me.
