TOPIC: Token Scarcity?

Token Scarcity? 13 years 9 months ago #1

While going through my tokens and compiling lists of what I need and what I have extras of, I began to wonder what tokens are truly the hardest to find. Many of you have been collecting for quite some time now and depending upon when you caught the addiction, there may be varying opinions. Out of my own curiosity, what do you think are the most scarce tokens?

I'll add a restriction-let's keep the answers to just the chippies(2007-present).

Horn of Plenty as everyone wants it.

I initially thought that too, but is it truly the most scarce? Most desired probably, but I'll bet there are tokens out there with fewer numbers floating around. Of course, this is just me playing devil's advocate... =D

Alchemist Pouch might be one to be considered for the list of scarce tokens.

Kim

I had another thread going on equipment tokens not included as part of packs:

truedungeon.com/trueforum/index.php?topic=7486.0

If you mean actual numbers and not demand, then it's probably one of these.

Personally, I'm leaning toward it being one of the more unwanted or consumable UR's. Something (similar to the Alchemist Pouch) that had a limited distribution. I'm also trying to think of tokens I haven't seen on either ebay or the forums for sale/trade.

Weren't the ultra rares in 2005 available in the dungeon only? If that's correct, I would think that would put them near the top of the scarcity list.

Kim

Necklace of Oak
+1 Bastard Sword
Disposables like Greater Mistletoe, healing scrolls, good runestones (seasons)
Achemists Pouch

These are all the tokens I have been looking for and had no luck with as of yet. I know the demand for Necklace of Oak is huge; they have been selling for 50-80 on eBay.

Sorry, I must have missed my reading comprehension roll. I failed to notice where you were restricting the discussion to chippies only.

Kim
I'd agree with the Alchemist's Pouch, and suggest the +2 Bracers of Defense from ares' list.

The '07 Elixir is a contender, plus the '07 consumables Gem of Healing and Special?

If you allow woodies, the list becomes vast...

I would think it has to be the Ring of Three Wishes... they were given out to specific people/volunteers on a very limited basis, followed by the ring of regeneration & survivor stones: one which was an early reward like the wish ring, the other was a first year golden ticket reward and is consumable (our group has used most of theirs)
