Hi All,

Anyone else get the 2005B elven chain? Are there other new misprints out there that I don't know about? Could there be a whole set of misprints?

Later, David

I got a 2005B Elven Chain also. Might be worth looking at the other "new to 2006" tokens and see if there are any with 2005B backs floating around.

So far, between Mike, Gary and David there are at least 4 floating around....

It is possible George has one, too. So 4-5 is the new count. I did confirm with Jeff that it was an accident as I had suspected.

Dave

I don't know about misprints, but I think I may have a super-duper beyond-rare token. It has the spider back, and is called "Tavern Wench Wrath x2". But it does seem to be a bit to large to actually use as a weapon. I don't think if fits in the token sliders. :laughing7: :tongue3:

From what I hear it has already been used a weapon but far away from any combat board. =D
David (S.)

I'm just starting to inventory all my tokens post-con...a ritual I totally enjoy doing.

I've found a few more oddities...

+1 Longbow - 2005B (did not exist in 2005B)
Full Plate - 2005B (revised type which did not exist in 2005B)
and as noted already:
Elven Chain - 2005B (did not exist in 2005B)

I'm 100% sure the Plate and Longbow came out of the dungeon as treasure. Looks like a batch of tokens were made with 2005B backs. Maybe every RED from 2006...???

ALSO - THREE CHEERS for GREEN tokens!!! I think it is totally cool that there are now some really GREEN ones floating around now...

G

After looking through tokens I discovered that Marilyn and I also have the 2005B Elven Chain.

I remember getting a 2005B Elven Chain and being puzzled by it. I'm sure I kept it, but I haven't gotten around to my post-con token sorting yet. (Hope to get that done before SoCal...) Sounds like it's not really that rare, but it's neat, nonetheless.
I know that when I went through the dungeon I got a Hammer and Spike Token that has no back printed on it. Was thinking of donating it to one of the collecting elite if their's intrest.

Sign me up on that list...I'd be interested in it.

Does True Dungeon reuse consummable tokens or are the tokens in the token bags always from the current set? (I would guess that it would be more economical to reuse them).

When I looked at the back of the tokens I got this year, I did notice that a Potion of Bull's Strength and a Scroll of Read Magic (both received in the token bags I received for my TD runs) seem to have the dragon head thingy (2005b), instead of the spider icon I would have expected. I would imagine that they were simply reusing tokens from last year's printing. But since I also traded for one of the Elven Chain's (with the 2005b icon) at the store, I can't help but wonder if anything odd was going on.

If TD does reuse consummable tokens, is it possible that discontinued items that had already been used once might reappear in circulation every now and then?
