TOPIC: WANTED: your "useless" commons

Arts & crafts goddess... no.<br />Extremely picky about what I'm working on... usually yes.  That's why it'll take me all the way til next Indy to get this thing finished.  =D

It's these kinds of "hobby shop" moments that my hero Red Green comes to mind.  Need to make token props with duct tape

And now I am trying to figure out what you are going to do with all these tokens.<br /><br />I am imagining you showing up next year with a vest made from leather armor tokens.<br /><br />

But since a few more people have mentioned it, I figure I might as well admit that this is the plan...<br /><br />I did think of something else that I want to do with some of my commons at So Cal (if I go) but I want to see if I can make a token-mail shirt for Indy 2007.

It has the potential of looking really cool, I will look to see what I have (not many) but you are welcome to them.<br />PM me with your address.<br /><br />Dave

<br /><br />That sounds like SUCH a cool idea!  I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like.  If you can do it in a reasonable timeframe, I'll bet you could get some nice tokens in trade for extra ones - it could even be the official armor of Team TOKN (I guess the Wizard would have to settle for a Token necklace or something) 

One suggestion - they might make really cool buttons...I don't know how well they would scalemail up...but hey, not too anxious to start a new project, I have too many as it stands.<br /><br />

For the scalemail effect, you can possibly get a nice heavy duty shirt, then drill holes on each token and either sew them on like bangles layered around or set in place using wire.<br /><br />I'm thinking of making a wand or two that will fit my wand of lightning bolts and magic missile tokens

Holes like buttons have was what I was thinking...just over-lap them...

I already have my own plans for how to put the token-mail together.  Once I get it going, we'll see if it works.  And I doubt there is any way I could make more than one...  my patience doesn't usually last that long.  I started making a chain mail shirt a couple years ago, and putting all those tiny little rings together got boring pretty fast.  I doubt I could make a chainmail bikini out of what I put togther.  =]
