TOPIC: PYP?

PYP? 4 years 1 week ago #1

I've seen the acronym PYP around the forums a lot in reference to tokens, often in auctions or sales but occasionally on other posts too. What does this mean?

Thank you!

Pick your purple (UR). When you buy tokens from TD, certain levels include 1 or more ultra rares (which are purple). Also used in forum threads when someone is doing a mass buy and splitting out the tokens (usually through an auction).

Ok, so if an auction is selling, say, PYP #2, would that generally be the second UR for that year?

No a pyp is always your choice. They number them just for organizational purposes.

Gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I've been getting more and more into TD and token collecting, but never saw an explanation for that. Have an awesome night!

I think there is another thread out there somewhere with TD acronyms, but here one with PYP and others:

The glossary at the end of the Player's Handbook includes many common acronyms/initialisms--including PYP.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I knew I remembered seeing a glossary somewhere, just haven't read the PHB in a year or so and didn't think to look there again. Thank you all for the info.
