Thanks for being patient with us while we worked out a way to mitigate sleaze.

The 5 per month per person restriction is still in place. No change there.
As of now, multiple orders containing Pirate's Treasure Map (PTM) tokens may not be combined. If you and your S.O./child/grandparent/buddy/friend's cousin's neighbor's dog walker want to order PTMs, that's fine, but each will be shipped separately--even if they go to the same address.

Also, when we run out of PTMs, we run out. There will be no reprints and no IOUs issued.

We realize this is not an awesome situation, but unfortunately some bad apples have ruined the experience for everyone.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

Thanks for the follow up!
I honestly think it's far from unfair for you all to charge the return shipping just because it's work for TDHQ to process the individual transmutes.

OK - I am curious. I know of a few people who have 2 players in their household that normally did 1 transmute now doing 2. From what you are saying, it sounds like someone did several at once. I'd love to know how many someone tried to get away with.

Enough to necessitate coming up with a solution.

Hmmm. I’m betting 20. Anyone got an over/under on that?

i confess. it was me. i did it. i mailed in enough "stuff" to get 100 treasure maps. i'm just greedy that way. i want everything for me and nothing for anyone else. next year i'm going to buy allllllll the tokens and use them to make another artifact, Throne of the Titans. it will be made of tokens and epoxy/glue. i'll charge more tokens to people that want to get a picture of themselves sitting on it. and soon i will have all the tokens everywhere. nothing can stop me from world domination. hahahahhahaha

"what's that honey? i need to take out the trash? then come and rub your bunions?"
"but, i'm kind of busy. what do you mean 'if i know what's good for me', i'll quit goofing off"
"okay dear, here i come.

all i got to say is you guys are lucky. "&(%@#*$" sorry honey. here i come.

I wonder if this solution is going to have much impact. For those that are having people send in maps for them, this adds maybe $3-$4 cost per map from the shipping, which breaks down to less than 50 cents additional per treasure pull. The economics might still work out in their minds. Hopefully it will help.

If I had to speculate I might guess the goal is just to slow things down so this guy isn't the first one in line

Sartre sits in in a coffee shop and asks for a coffee without cream. The barista apologizes “Sorry, we don't have any cream. Can I offer you a coffee without milk instead?”

I'm sure you're right, hopefully it works in slowing things down a bit. Loved the Simpsons clip! :)

Oh.

So it’s sold out.

So there aren’t going to be any available to transmute in person at Gen Con.
