This!

My first big experience with that was the CHTORR series by David Gerrold. It's looking probable now that that series will never be finished.

Pretty sure that's old stock from the previous fundraiser.
To my knowledge, no additional candles have been printed.

Thanks! I'll let my group know so they can decide if they want the honeycomb anyway.

It’s an interesting official question to ask TD (whether more Auri’s Candles will be made for the additional honeycombs being released)? It may be these are leftovers from the previous year so likely not.

I'd be interested in this info as well. If more candles were made available I'd pick up a few more, if its just left over honey I'm fairly good on those and will donate for something else XD

Well this ended yesterday, and there was 20 total Honeycombs that I counted going into circulation. Interesting enough Rothfuss's Favor was also claimed.

I count 56.
1x1 (True Dungeon: Auri’s Honeycomb)
3x5 (Auri's Honeycomb Bundle)
4x10 (Auris Honeycomb/Taborlins Key)

Plus the four Taborlin's Keys.

I didn't see that the Honeycomb/Key was 10 Honeycomb each. You are correct 56.

I just hope everyone who donated gets their Tokens. The last Worldbuilder's was a debacle.

Yep. No way I’d donate again after last time.

*edit* I say that but god help me if they put some OP token in there to really test my courage.

Geeks Doing Good is separate from the year-end fundraiser. The idea there is “you order X, we ship it to you.” Part of the problem with the year-end event last year seemed to stem from them trying to wait to send the generic raffle prizes with the special-incentive prizes. Chaos ensued. We’ll see if the Geeks Doing Good items are shipped in a straightforward manner (or not).

I went for it. I would have donated last time if I had been aware, so I feel like I got a second chance there.

Oh wild. I was just trying to remember what that series was called. I remember a friend reading it back in high school and for some reason that memory just popped into my head a couple of weeks, ago. I'll avoid reading it now that I know it's likely to remain incomplete

I really enjoyed the five books, and I'll probably eventually reread them (again) even if no other books are published.

It's a shame also Zelazny didn't have a chance to do the next Corwin-centric Amber series before he passed away. Those are some of my all-time favorite books, and I was really looking forward to more books starring Corwin. I think there won't ever be more Amber books since Zelazny didn't want anyone else to write them after he passed.

I've grown content in Rothfuss not finishing Doors of Stone. If you think about it, the story is supposed to get much darker from this point on with Kvothe likely dying, becoming one of the Chandrian, or being consigned to the Fey realm for the remainder of his days (the last being his best option of the three.)

If you treat the 2.75 books written (NoTW, WMF, SRoST, the Lightning Tree in Rogues)(no, Old Holly doesn't count) as the series, it ends on a positive note. He's had adventures, grown, and has a place in the world. No - he didn't avenge his parents but it still makes for a good story arc. Considering the number of loose ends Rothfuss left in the books, it is unlikely that the last book will neatly wrap everything up (something that is likely making his editing a nightmare.) He's stuck because he wrote contradictions into the books that he'd need to unwind now. The same thing happened to King with Dark Tower and the ending books were so less satisfying than the first 3 books.

There aren't many times when an author gets stuck on a series then goes back and finishes it that the final entry was as good as the earlier ones. The best trilogies/series written had clear outlines from the beginning that the authors built the stories around (Tolkien being the poster-child for this.) Asimov went back to Foundation and made it worse, King cratered Dark Tower, others where the later books just hurt the series: Vampire Chronicles, Hunger Games, Dune, and Clan of the Cave Bear.

If he doesn't feel that he has a great book in him, let it go. His first two were among the best fantasy written in a generation. That is more than enough to hang your hat on.
