TOPIC: Trade Token Worksheet

Trade Token Worksheet 1 year 1 month ago #1

Not sure where to post this, but this seemed like the right location.

I've just downloaded the Trade Token Worksheet from the TD website and it still doesn't have the 2023 tokens in it. I'd like to thin out the box beneath my desk and I'd love to make sure that I'm sending the right stuff in!

Do we know if/when the spreadsheet will be updated?

I can't answer your direct question, but I've found that the easiest way to know what is what with recent tokens is to check the 2-letter code at the top center. AG = aragonite; AI = alchemist's ink, AP = alchemist's parchment, etc. (The codes weren't always there, so for older stuff you might need to check Token DB.) BTW, there is one omission in the 2023 set--the Sacred Sunshot Pellet should have an EM on it, but it doesn't. I didn't notice until I was sorting tokens for mulch.

I agree that the 2 letter abbreviations help, but as someone with color blindness, I sometimes have trouble telling the difference between black (C) and green (UC).

To the OP, you can also use TokenDB. It lists the rarity and transmutes-to info for each token.

I sometimes have trouble telling the commons and uncommons apart too, and I don't even have colorblindness to blame. Some years, the green is fairly dark and can be very hard to distinguish from black. Token DB is the way to go to resolve any questions. (This will most likely come up with the trade goods that are made out of units, e.g., AI, AP, DP, EM, MS, and PS. Common and uncommon weapons and armor all have their own categories, so the DS, MH, EB and OE markings help a lot--with recent tokens, at least.)
