Right now I think I'm leaning amulet over RoW - a kewl new effect each year?  Awesome.  Year 1 seems to be 4th level character.  Maybe year two is you can have a sandwich delivered to you during your run!  :rolleyes:<br />

<br /><br />Yea, that was my biggest disappointment actually. Don't get me started, I've almost completed my 12 step program to recovery, and I'm feeling much better!  :lol:<br /><br />Basically, the mace of disruption's average damage is the same as the 2008 rare, the orcish flail. While the MOD does do very naughty things to undead, that's too situation specific for my sensibilities. If I'm to get a UR, I need to know that even if I'm not in this or that circumstance, the weapon is just plain superior to its rare counterpart. Unfortunately this is not the case. <br /><br />The mace of disruption is still a great item, but it belongs in the repertoire of a cleric who has the cash to collect an assortment of UR weapons, one for each situation. Maybe next year my "Blessed Heavy Mace" will make the cut. I can't have everything I want all in one year now can I? The fun is in the journey of getting to how you foresee your character to ultimately be, more than that goal merely reaching fruition.<br /><br />See, now I'm waxing all philosophical. My 12 step program is over. Woohoo! I am teh recovered!<br /><br />

After all, what kind of tinkerer would use only one tool? He'd use everything available to him.)<br />

<br /><br />I made it a tool to add to the Rogue's Masterwork Thieves' Tools -- so yes...both can be used on the same skill check.  Also, since Dave is always tinkering and fixing things for TD, I thought it was appropriate with the name used.  It's an inside joke for about 6 of us.

<br /><br />I am going to have to agree here.  Yes, the Mace of Disruption may be a decent item against undead but against everything else any sensible cleric would use the +1 Heavy Mace (Unless of course they have Gearon's).  For a +2 weapon it lacks hard.

At looking at the first post there are no pictures of the Rares, its just another set of the uncommon pictures.  Hard to Proof without the pictures.

<br /><br />Well, it's worth mentioning (or maybe not) that both the MOD and orcish flail do a fraction of a point more damage, on average, than the heavy mace +1. Nothing that has any practical significance, but just for the sake of exactness...<br /><br />Anyway yea, Gearons is what I'd love to get my hands on. It's token #1 on my hit list. Especially now that we have chippies with pictures, wouldn't it be nice to see Gearon's in the flesh? It was in fact also geared towards undead killing so it would fit right in with this year's theme. <br /><br />As an aside, does anyone else think that the face of the lute needs a touch up? It could use more detail IMO. Nobody else seemed to mention it so maybe it's just me...<br />

<br /><br /><br />I agree. To be honest, the Amulet of Wonder just seems like a permanent version of the Special ??? token. I mean, couldn't we just keep the old Special ??? token or is this another example of power creep (but introducing a permanent variety)?<br /><br />
