The Medallion is the perfect item for your groups Bard.  That along with the belt and the item that lets'em cast 2 spells.  No longer will your cleric or mage be the party saviour, the Bard will.  If you also have the new UR instrument, your bard will now be a force to reckon with.  Perhaps not the best protected, AC wise, but when the party gets charmed/stoned/poisoned/whatever, your bard will be the one who can use all scrolls to bring you all back to safety.  If your bard would normally wear the Horn of Plenty, you just have to agree, as a party, to donate some extra stuff to the bard to help her get some of what she'd miss out on.
The kitchen is my domain, so all you pregnant and bare-foot women can go sit on the couch with your feet up and watch tv or read a book.

I think that it and the amulet may see a lot of use on a nightmare run, where survival might be more important than extra treasure.

<br /><br />Hmm, I wasn't thinking of Nightmare runs when I posted my diatribe against the medallion.  That's a very good point.  Maybe I won't trade my ingredients.<br />
