TOPIC: TD Silver

Will the TD Silver be used again (like at GenCon)?  We had quite a few left over, and unlike the plastic gold pieces they're pretty unique, so I'm hoping they'll be usable in the future. <br />

<br /><br />I think this is the third time that TD silver has been used.  We used it in 2004 as the main way to buy things and the volunteers were given some another year.  So I would not be surprized to see it again sometime.

I do not know if it will be used at GenCon, but I can not imagine why it would not still be valid at TR.  <br /><br />Jeff?  <br /><br />I believe originally that the silver was supposed to still be usable at GenCon for tokens and such.  I am not sure if we would let people charge more out (i.e., place a charge on a credit card for x sliver coins), but I believe we would still take it back in trade for stuff at the admin desk.<br /><br />Jeff and Lori have to make the call, however.<br /><br />Dave

They will be good at future True Realms...if that happens.  Feel free to turn them in at Gen Con too, but you better find me or Lori first to do so.<br /><br />I hope they are still in use 20 years from now.  They are cool.

We were getting quite a few at TR. I had someone buy the whole set of mugs using them.

You got TD silver with VIP runs.  I think that's the only way you could get it at True Realm.  Although, they've sold the TD silver at GenCon in the past. <br /><br />1 TD silver = $5, that you could spend on TD merchandise.  It's a specially-minted metallic coin, and they are pretty darned cool. <br />

The silver is very kewl, but I spent all of mine of tokens and notebook token pages.<br />

I think I've got 8 of them left over somewhere.
