Thoughts on the next generation of tokens. 19 years 1 week ago #25

Gary,

Xeon's list thread, I quote from you:

As for INDY - It would be great to meet...I will be there Tuesday through Sunday and putting in my time as a volunteer.

I do not have a "crew" to run the dungeon, so if I can offer up my Cleric services - I will join you.

So, again, yes, you can be the cleric. In fact, if you have your mind set on it, would not have it any other way.

AWESOME! Sorry again for being so forgetful - I knew I had a commitment and when you mentioned your wife was part of your group that sounded very familiar. I can also be a forgetful cleric - I think I went 2 for 4 on spells with one of the misses being pretty close for a partial heal...

So should we start some planning? I mean come on - INDY is 153 days away...why wait.

Gary,

Is there a time/day preferable for the adventure?

Anyone else out there, want in?

I am open, I will be there TUE night through Sunday the 21st. The only time conflicts for me will be sleeping or when I am on duty as a volunteer.

I am partial to late night runs as it seems a bit more eerie - and the rush from finishing the dungeon will work great to keep me up all night - in case there is more going on at the CON. ;)

So what CHAR are you and the wife choosing to be? Let's invite others based on what is left or if there are people willing to take any CHAR that is something we should broadcast as well.

Later we should start a PM trail or perhaps a Yahoo group to discuss what we all have as far as tokens and strategy ideas...sound good?

Thanks,
Gary

Wife-she never did it, but is good with her hands(she's a painter) and is a bit of a do-gooder-so I thought paladin
We can chat whenever you want, but let's wait until after we get your massive and my small order of tokens.

*raises hand*.

I plan to volunteer again this year. However, with two dungeons, I would really like to play one as a character. Any class accepted after years of PnP.

I'll bring along my ring of regeneration ;) if it is accepted in game.

Stuart,

PnP?

I too will be helping build at INDY - so we should team up on building the same dungeon as well so there will be surprises...

PnP = Pen and Paper, the classic table top. I'm older than my picture may look and have been playing traditional 1st ed. DnD for many years. I know it is not quite the same. but basically, I'm comfortable playing most any type of character.

I like the idea of coordinating our build time on one or the other TD adventure. I'm sure we can arrange this with Lee. That way either the standard or the Hard Core version will be new to us. I also plan to train as a DM.

I look forward to to it!! :o

I would even consider it possible for us to focus on helping to build just in and around the tavern area so that we can keep options open for running whatever dungeons they have. I am sure with the larger Tavern there will be a need for help there.

I am just now getting into 3.5 rules. Prior to that I was playing regular edition since '82 (I was 14 or so years old).

OK so if you are a "no preference" we will book you as such.

David - hope this is OK - Stuart is a "ringer" based on his past posts and wealth of experience with TD.

Gary,

This is perfect. I thought it would be great fun to get people fom the boards to play. Whoever wants in is cool with me, as long as our choices for classes are respected.

Cheers, David

I am not 100% locked into being the Cleric - but it is by far my first choice based on preference, costume I have made and tokens that I have.

I would give up the role to someone with 100% ability to memorize the beads and with an equal number of tokens that play for the cleric.

Let's just try our best to build a diverse team and get the roles we all want to increase our chance of survival and fun.
