Not so sure. Does GenCon have a remote ticket station there? Or are there GenCon events held there? Either could trigger convention rules.

Trading tokens is just fine as long as no cash changes hands.

That is why I said I think

I will still be walking outside for any cash transactions

Working the streets for some cash, huh? Good for you. You're a handsome fella.

Where is hall D in relationship to either the main registration/badge pickup area or hall B where TD was last year? I plan on coming up round 6-7ish local time and I've got a trade(shopping) list to fill out.

Hall D is west of the badge area.

If this is the (front half of the) convention center (ASCII art sucks :)
y is the badge/reg area.
z is the food court near Hall D.
a and b are the skywalks to the hotels (a-mariott, b-westin)

Be sure to properly orient your compass and correct for magnetic declination.

Food court is on the northside of the ICC, halfway between capitol and west.

Bleh. I definintely don't want to mail these damn things. I'd have a hell of a time trying to convince the USPS of their worth if they went AWOL.

Have the normal transmute times been released?

I know I may get some heat for this but here it goes anyway. Are not the unpaid parts of the convention center public areas. If so, in a public area I see no legal means for anyone stopping you from doing person-person deals. Are there signs (legally backed up) on the entrances to the public areas stating something along the lines of "no soliciting"? Then again, person-person trades aren't considered soliciting. SO I am unsure of the fear of "the man". Think they'll take you badge, hide it. What, they going to search you?

Not that I am thinking of doing any of this.

Maybe this comes from a small town attitude where they taught personal rights rather than conformation of the masses. Or maybe I see where henwy has started commenting on the forum again and it is rubbing off.

from gencon.com/attend/policies

GenCon Website wrote: Solicitation

The sale of any items or services without the prior consent of Gen Con LLC and an Indiana state sales permit is not allowed on convention premises. Distributing or posting any promotional materials is also prohibited. Violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the convention without refund.

Seems pretty straightforward.

You might want to look at what you agreed to when you purchased your badge. Rather like the software terms of use we all scroll through as rapidly as possible.

(and some ninja helpfully posted it right above this..)
