To be clear I don't eat eggs with ketchup, but is something I have seen time and time again in the Midwest. I don't remember seeing it in California. Most often it is scrambled eggs but I have seen eggs in other forms as well (with and without toast).

I do have to go back to your putting peanut butter of French Fries though. You may be willing to do it, but it is not something you commonly do right? I mean I haven't heard of it before but maybe I just don't know. The combo does not sound appealing to me.


If they’re potato and not sweet potato, yes. Potato fries are pretty bad except as a delivery mechanism and PB is healthier and tastier than mayo, similar consistency under heat as well. I also use them to deliver mustard, Dijon or spicy brown, hole seed and horseradish.

Whoa, hold on, I'm gonna disagree here. If you are talking standard sugar-filled PB, sure, that will win the taste test, but definitely lose the healthy comparison. If you go natural PB with only peanuts and salt, taste will be a matter of opinion/situation. And even then, natural PB can only compare health-wise to the standard soybean oil based mayo; if you get good Mayo with better ingredients (avocado oil or sunflower oil are ones we like), PB just isn't gonna win the health competition.

Sorry, sorry. I agree this is about how Ketchup is inferior to PB as a dip/sauce/spread. I said it as an addition of info around texture comparison, I didn't mean to change this topic. I have not yet egg/pb'd though I'll try it today likely.

I can assure you that if I were to make anything "homemade", the receiver will be far from happy :laugh: I am working on getting better at it.
