Thank you for everyone's generous bids so far!
I'm glad to see that every token now has a bid on it :)

I'm going to be heading out to Saskatchewan tomorrow, and intend to continue updating the bids on this auction daily... but if my internet is sub-optimal, it may take a little longer to update or reply to PMs. Still, keep those bids coming in, it would be great to see Kim's auction break $4000!

It's been a slow weekend for bids - I hope my being out of town didn't scare anyone off.
If it did, rest assured I'm back now!

We've got less than 1 week left on the auction. If you're hoping to make a bid, please don't wait until the last minute. I know I'm not doing eBay style auto-bids - which might make some folks want to hold off for fear of driving up the price on the token they want - but think about it: This is to raise money for cancer. if you make a bid and someone outbids you, it means we raise even more money for this good fight! Everyone wins!

Kim & Raven, maybe it would spur more bids on the Horn of Plenty if it had more info on how it is one of the first two ever made. Is it one of the Proof tokens with Jeff's signature? Was it a special gift from Jeff? :)

Years ago in the early days of True Dungeon Jeff used to take suggestions for tokens and would give the person who made a suggestion that wound up becoming an actual token the first one made. I made a suggestion and another player made a suggestion that wound up being combined to create the concept for the Horn of Plenty. The first two went out to myself and the other person. That's why it's so sentimental for me and why I haven't considered parting with it until now. This cause is more important.

That's awesome, Kim! What a wonderful suggestion, and this really is a key piece of history! I hadn't realized Jeff did that contest in 2007. I won in 2008 with my Amulet of Wonder suggestion and still have that token. I was one of several people that won in 2009 with the Dread Sword, and I think that was the last year Jeff did that. It truly must be a special cause for you to part with this piece of history. I'll have to update the 2007 Token Timeline entry with this info. :)

That makes your Horn of Plenty essentially a "Proof" token, doesn't it, Kim?
That's an amazing piece of history, which someone could win in this auction!

And thanks to a couple new bids, we've now crossed the $4k threshold!

THANK YOU to everyone who has put in a bid so far, and please keep them coming! We've got a bit over 4 more days left on this auction : )

3 MORE DAYS left on the auction!

We've had a last-minute donation of another Ring of the 5th Circle to add to the auction; I've got a query out to the last person who bid on the (original) Ring of the 5th Circle to see if he wants his runner-up bid applied to this one... but if anyone else wants to make any bids in the meanwhile, please feel free!

A QUICK NOTE about paying for your Auction winnings:

Kim can accept either PayPal, or donations to ASC CAN directly through her fundraising link. If you're the sort of person who likes a receipt for your donation (EDIT - 501c4, not eligible for tax deduction) you are welcome to pay that way. (Kim can chime in at some point with how to mark the donation, so she knows who it's from : )

Thanks for all your bids so far, and I hope we get a few more before the auction wraps up Sunday night!

So, first of all thanks to everyone who has bid thus far. I am beyond grateful. I do want to clarify something. The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network is a 501c4. Donations to them are not tax deductible.

For the winners of the auctions the easiest way to pay is by clicking on my donation link. There's a comment box where you can put information regarding any Lights of Hope that you wish in honor or in memory of someone who has battled cancer.

If you do not wish to use my donation link you can send the money via PayPal. I would just need you to make clear your first and last name and which token you won.

Lastly, Raven and I will be at Origins. Any winners who are going to be there were can deliver the token in person. Otherwise I'll need shipping addresses.
