TOPIC: True Grind Schedule for GenCon 2016

Hello all!

Just letting you know that we've worked out a way to offer more Grinds this year. It does involve me delegating so there will be some Grind runs that I won't be running directly (last time that happened was in 2011!).

I will be DM'ing the morning and afternoon sessions of Grind. I will have an assistant DM and also a player coach helper. So that is why the morning and afternoon sessions are staggered 1 hour apart, even though they are 1.5 hours each.

For the evening sessions of Grind, starting at 7 PM, Raven will be DM'ing with an assistant. Since there is no player coach helper, those sessions have 1.5 hour centers.

So if you are confused why some of the Grind events are 1 hour apart and others are 1.5 hours apart, that is the reason!

If manage to get the tickets I want this year, looks like Raven will be running!

Not sure how many players actually pay attention to the story/plot for True Grind.

This year we weren't able to get the right description in the event booklet in time, so the "Seige of Deeperdark" (that is an interesting spelling!) is just a placeholder description.

In this year's True Grind:

While exploring the Deeperdark, players must investigate a strange cult that worships mind flayers and eldritch monstrosities....

Be prepared to fight a lot of "old-school" monsters!

We will have different Amulet of Wonder, Eldritch Runestone, and UR Special effects than the main adventure.

While I doubt any group is brave or foolhardy enough to try Epic Grind at GenCon, the monsters have regrouped from their experiences at Who's Yer Con! They are ready to challenge any players who consider themselves among the best!

Have the alternate effects for the amulet/rune/etc been announced yet?

I second the question... Do we know yer the effect of Amulet of Wonder or Eldritch Runestone for the 2016 GenCon True Grind?

Any chance we'll get the UR Special ? and Eldritch Runestone effects with enough time to spare to meet the July 20th transmute deadline?

Though I agree it would be nice to know, what does the transmute deadline have to do with knowing them? You cannot transmute the UR Special and the recipe for the Eldritch Runestone has expired.
