My 2 friends and I are doing this for the first time. We are total newbies. Really no idea what to expect except that it will be fun! I've bought several bags of tokens, but it's of course all pretty much basic equipment. Looking forward to it!

Welcome Aboard! glad to see that you've found your way to these forums. I tend to bring some spare tokens as well, so we should be able to help you guys gear up for the run too. Since you're new, we'll stick to normal difficulty then, but its not my first time leading new people through the dungeon. Don't worry, it is perfectly safe to follow the drunken dwarf.

Couple of questions:

1. How many people are in a group?

2. How long will we get to decide the class we want to play and and sort out which tokens we want to use?

1) 10 people per party
2) You can arrive up to 30 minutes before your start time. We HIGHLY recommend you do so. This will give you time to look at & trade tokens, as well as make class selections. Once your official start time rolls around, you have very little time to mull over choices.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

There are 10 people total on the run, so between my 2 and your 3 we know half the group so far.

As Druegar stated, you can get into the meeting room 30 minutes before the run starts. I usually try to get there that early. However, I use the variety of community created character builder to have my character already organized, so I spend the time helping anyone that needs it with their set up. Once our run hits its start time, we are taking into a coaching room where you can practice for your character. Combat sliding for the physical classes, the magic icons for spellcasters, and a rogue box for the rogue.

To clarify: the "coaching room" is where your group gathers, chooses classes and equips their characters. At your official start time, a coach will join you in the room. The first two room cycles (24 minutes) after your start time are for the coach to record your characters onto the party card. After that, you go to the "training room", where you will have one room cycle (twelve minutes) to practice combat and memorize your skill tests.

You can enter your coaching room up to half an hour before your start time. Please do so. The 24 minutes of official coaching time are barely enough to get the party card filled. Arriving early lets you decide on classes and get your build ready before the coach gets there.

Guys, I have a 400 GP Inlaid Tak Set and a 300 GP Court Ring. What are they used for?

Gold is more an out of game thing than used within the dungeon. Most often it is used in trading between players and in transmutations.

If you have free time throughout the weekend, a number of players set up on the tables in the storyscape just outside the dungeon to trade. With those you should be able to trade for a rare gear or 2 that can help you in dungeon, and they will be able to offer you advice as to what would be the most useful.

Class wise I prefer dwarf fighter and my friend tends to go paladin, but I don't think there has been any requests for other classes yet.
