I was the DM for this room, and that was one of the craziest combats I've seen/DM'ed. Almost everyone dropping thanks to that convenient electric charge, though the Paladin did act nobly in saving his comrade.

Gotta say, you all took it pretty well! I will ask, though: James, what class do you play now?

TDC was a blast to help out with, and getting to meet/hang out with all of you was a wonderful time in and of itself.

I normally play cleric or fighter, this was my first time playing a druid and we decided to all play classes we were not used to playing for fun. This is the first and only time I played druid and hence it was a interesting time.

Interesting it was and I didn't realize it's been 3 years already since that run. Think that was start of me being less altruistic when i play paladin. That and a start of a nervous tick when i feel static electricity build up.

Looking forward til we can meet and play again.

Note to self: don’t go on a run with Laz anytime soon. But I guess I could sacrifice myself to save 1 party member...

I also cast an electric spell in that room as a wizard, but it was just shocking grasp or something minor like that - I didn't kill anyone, but did feel really dumb for a while.

only if I am a spell caster...i did read S3 and in room 7 The ....I will save that..dont want to spoil anything

Arcanist nearly killed Kirk and me on a three-man Nightmare run at WYC a few years back in a similar way. We had those stirges around our necks and he wanted to blast them off with a Mad Evoker'ed lightning...

Yes, and you killed Dave by holding his hand onto a damage causing object. He seemed to be enjoying it though.

I did the exact same thing in that room, and I didn't have the excuse of playing the Druid for the first time. However, maybe since we were playing Hardcore instead of Nightmare, I only nearly killed the whole party instead of actually doing it. :)
