They really are! Used them at TDC. Here's hoping we don't have to go back at GC.

The magnets are crazy strong. The pucks will stick to each other when stacked.

I wouldn't put it past Jeff to start installing magnets into the combat board for possible magical interference with attacks or as obstacles in the way, slowing them down or possibly banking them off in weird directions.

Not saying he has done this or is going to do this, just that I wouldn't put it past him.

Continued praise for the new sliders, but one caution. The magnets are super strong. Someone leaned over the combat board and the slider stuck to their light. They didn't even know it until the DM noticed a slider missing and told people to check their lights. Evidently, the same thing happened before. Still, they are very cool.

Hmmmm...didn't hear about any of the bags having a 2017 mix. The one time I asked for a bag of ten they said they only had 50s and 100s. Maybe they were just out, but that was Thursday afternoon, so they would have had to run out pretty quick.

The new sliders are a great improvement. The only problem I have seen is that they have a higher center of gravity so they on occasion tumble across the board.

Jedi showed me a trick where you can stand a token up between two sliders and the magnets hold it all together. I think the monks need a new 'special power' (squatting monkey?) whee they slide like this and get some cool effect.

Higher center of gravity is true. I had one slider flip to its side and then roll to the end of the board. I had another slide down the board and suddenly flip upside down. The DM just quickly flipped it upright and it was still a hit. I just take this as me needing to adjust my slide technique. I didn't see it happen to anyone else.

How's the speed of the new sliders? When I was at TDC I noticed that they seemed to be "slower" than the old ones. Not sure if the humidity level had something to do with it or if the felt just wasn't "broken in" yet.

And I remember the magnets being very strong, which is great because there's almost no chance of your Token popping out. However, I wonder if the strength of these magnets could pose a risk to someone with a pacemaker? Pure speculation here as I don't have one or know anything about the devices. Just would hate to have something unintended happen to a person who does. Maybe something for Jeff to consider in terms of the verbiage that's used in the waiver everyone has to sign.

As another veteran player that also had four runs on Thursday it was fun to run with you and Dave. The run with Dave and Hawk was my only run with other veterans, my my other three runs were a mix of players who haven't played in years and people playing for the very first time. It was great to see the transition from the nervous and bashful player in the first room grow to a confident communicative player in the final room.

I would also like to praise all of the volunteers for this event for creating a great experience for the new players. On one run I was the only player with a ranged weapon so the DM modified the encounter the ensure the other nine players would participate and have fun. I would also like to thank the volunteers for combining time slots on Thursday night to ensure that parties were as full as possible instead of having a few groups or two or three, and to everyone in the training room for being patient and making sure that everyone understood their class and skill checks before entering the dungeon.

Lastly I agree that the new sliders are fantastic! The transition from the old slider to the new slider on Thursday night was great! It was a great addition to a wonderful con.

Thx Joey, it was great to run with u instead. Yeah, i was with one group that wasn't equipped for ranged, so i just told the DM i was concentrating my magic mussiles on the legs. After 2 rounds the drow was grounded and everyone could then attack.

Hawk, I think I ran with you through Behold Her Majesty on Friday night? You're a Bard, yes?
