I like the AOW effect and it’s nice to see as the neck slot enters into potential permanent lockdown with class based legendaries.

Observation 1: you can equip HoP, AoTF, RoR, and CoGF with this.

For the app makers, do you support the bonus neck slot you can get from a Wish Ring? If so reuse that logic. If not, consider just not supporting this effec the same way you don’t support that one.

I suppose you we could tack on: “no slot expanders modifiers” to the effect if it’s really that much of a big deal.

Lots of people running around with +6 str +3 dex +4 con from the neck this year I suppose...

Im not excited by a slot expander. And actively dislike the idea when it comes at the cost of other important slots.

AoW seems like a nice/fair bonus for players who have everything (or at least lots of URs), but for anyone with a limited supply of tokens, owning the AoW means they probably dont own many other UR amulets (spening an extra $100 for a 2nd neck item when you can only use one doesnt make sense on a budget)...so, they potentially give up using 2 UR charms to get 2 rare amulets.

I do see that the intent is to do something to make the AoW compete with the Legendary / Relic Neck Slot items. I like it - maybe adjust it to say it grants 2 bonus neck slots and you lose one charm slot, and the bonus neck slots can't be TE or slot enhancing?

I'd actually be surprised if there are many that have an AoW as their only UR neck slot. It is so unpredictable from one year to the next that I'd expect most who own an AoW to not have it as their only neck UR. But that's just my perspective.

I'd probably agree with that, most people who have an AoW probably have a primary neck slot token, and the AoW is in reserve depending on the effect. That's the way my group is set up.

I’m not a big fan of the AoW idea. The other two are fine.

What about something more thematic the season - the Amulet gives you infernal traits like being bathed in flame (retribution dmg) and additional melee damage? Alternately a more subtle take like gaining the ability to possess one NPC per run (w saving throw).

What about giving the AoW an ability like that, as well as the ability to be outfitted in either the neck slot or an alternate slot (like Charm)?

I like the proposed effects. The amulet in particular lets people play around a bit in a year that many are losing their long-loved neck slots. Might make the loss a bit more bearable for some. And the fact it doesn't seem to bother Cranston too much is also a huge plus!
