IMPORTANT DATES:
Gen Con Indy Event Submission: Opens January 9

Gen Con Indy Badge Registration: Opens January 30

Gen Con Indy Hotel Registration: Opens February 13

Gen Con Online-Only Badge Registration: Opens May 8

Gen Con Indy Event (Ticket) Registration: Opens May 15

Pop-Up Gen Con Badge Registration: Opens June 19

Masks and proof of vaccination will be required for all attendees.

It will be interesting to see if GENCON offers the Badge rollover option again this year.

Regarding the Vaccine and Mask requirements, they did state that the policies are subject to change:

These policies are subject to change, and due to the ever-shifting nature of the pandemic, we just don't have all the answers now. But based on the best information available to us at this time, this is our current plan for this year’s convention:

At Gen Con Indy 2022, we anticipate that all in-person participants will be required to show proof of a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 to attend the convention, and that mask-wearing will be required in all indoor spaces.

Re: Rolling over

I read the press release and it said they would not be rolling over any badges into 2023. Use or Refund if you already have one for 2022.

For any VIGs out there - was there communication I missed for VIGs about renewals and the room block? I haven't seen anything.

We haven't seen anything since the pre-holiday "more information coming in January" email.

I think you're still good. In the past, hotel reg for returning VIG has been same day as badge purchase. New VIG 1 week later, then the hotel lottery 1 week after that.
