TOPIC: Continuing virtual TD

I'd like to start a petition to Jeff and Lori to continue on with virtual TD events beyond V11. For many of us, Origins is our primary source of live TD events. With that not happening this year (PLEASE go back next year),,, no funds for a ridiculously overpriced Gencon, and Gamehole being a low percentage hopeful maybe at best,,, virtual TD is a godsend. Maybe a 4 part storyline in September, October, November, and December???

I would also love to see more VTD. But understand if running Gencon then Gameholecon means it might not be until 2023 for it to happen.

I second Mongo. Yes, please! I somehow used to go 12 months between TD events, and now even a month seems too long. I'm getting comfortable enough with game mechanics that I hope to volunteer soon, too, if that helps!

I'm thinking an epic four-part story pitting Gib Gub, Grunnel, and Francis (listed in alphabetical order for neutrality's sake) against each other, but maybe--just maybe--they need to team up in the end!
Angroch - Ranger of the Frozen Woods;
Mo'Tak, Monk of The Confused Fist;
Bolo KneeSmasher, Halfling Barbarian

Given V11 is late May, Skull con in mid June, then Gencon in early Aug then Paxwest in Sept, GHC in October (where they are launching new adventures). Thats already a tight schedule. Maybe I could see them squeezing in a VTD in late Nov-early Dec but I suspect Lori would not be cool with to far into Dec.

I would love a v8b so I could play that adventure.

I'd also love to see a single virtual event of E3. For those of us who were at Origins (E1, E2) but not Gencon (E3) that year covid screwed us out of the opportunity to play E3 at the canceled Origins the following year which was usually the last chance to play a new event premiered at Gencon.

Completely agree with continuing it - quite a few people can only do VTD or only do 1 con per year that absolutely love VTD (my wife included.)

I can't imagine them stopping. Not only has VTD been a huge investment of resources and time for their entire team (plus volunteers), but it's been a huge success. They are able to sell way more tickets than they could before, and they can do so with less overhead and more direct control since they run them out of TDHQ. I don't have hard data on this, just anecdotes, but I'm also sure that it's spurred way more token sales.

That said I'd be willing to bet it's going to continue on the way it's set up this year. We get VTD for the first half of the year, then PTD during con season, then the last few months out of the year they take off to handle the next year's tokens and design stuff for the upcoming year. (I realize that last part hasn't happened yet, but I'm guessing it's what is going to happen.)

Agreed would love more VTD, I understand probably not going to happen in and around the busy in person TD months, but even if if's Jan to May 2023 I would love it!

I personally would rather see few VTD of a higher quality then one every month that is of a lesser quality. Looking at Plunder, Suduko puzzle and a room 7 puzzle most recently. But that is my two cents. I would rather have quality than quantity.

I thoroughly enjoyed all three of those things. Not saying you're wrong to dislike them, just that YMMV.
