TOPIC: Continuing virtual TD

Every year is going to have different considerations, so, roughly, I'd consider for next year:

VTD2301A - February (not President's Weekend)
VTD2301B - March
VTD2302A - April (not Easter)
VTD2302B - May (not Memorial Weekend)

That leaves more time for tokens to get dispersed to buyers for new year than starting in January.

If want a third VTD in 2023, sure, squeeze in wherever.

Maybe I could see them squeezing in a VTD in late Nov-early Dec but I suspect Lori would not be cool with to far into Dec.

HEY! Don't be blaming ME!!!! :P

I think Lori just gave her blessing on a mid-December VTD?

No blame, just empathy, you guys have to full a schedule for blame. That said, if you're good with a December VTD I'll certainly vol for it (unless its actually on Christmas. I love you guys but ya know ;))

Hopefully they will continue VTD.

I looked over the Gen Con TD and you know $88 per event. $264 for 3 events on top of the Con expenses. I don't have the money that I used to. I am seriously thinking of passing. I can fill that time at the Con for far cheaper with other events.

Its the same rewards whether TD or VTD. Most of the time the rewards are not that great. I have done 29 TDs and the best token I have ever gotten is a golden fleece (after that, a mystic silk). So it is more about the playing experience than the rewards. The possibility I wind up in a normal group or without the class I want to play is greater in person. I am seriously thinking of just sticking to VTD play. It is better to play in person, but there are downsides over the VTD format as I mentioned. It will help with my Con budget.

You might try smaller cons, GHC is a great option, and very friendly players. Im sure other small cons would be similarly friendly options.

This.
