TOPIC: Token Trading Area

Token Trading Area 5 years 8 months ago #1

So, I've always recalled the Token Trading Area was in the Storyscape area. I also recall last year that there was a guard between GenCon and the TrueDungeon area on Wednesday who was rather rude and clear that the area was closed and I was wrong for wanting to move past. What time does the guard show up and prevent people from participation in the storyscape Wednesday? I've seen some "in the trading area" and wanted to just confirm that I need to have a badge and be in by a certain time.

Thanks.

On Wednesday, the trading area is usually at one of the food courts, to avoid any grumpy trolls.

Look for the pizza place near Cardhalla

It's in the food court because the area will be closed off for GT runs

On a related note, I was planning on bringing some games to this area on Wednesday afternoon. Something that’s more casual and easy to drop in/drop out as you stop to chat with friends or complete a trade would be best. Or, something that plays really fast. Any ideas/suggestions?

For those not familiar with the Wednesday token trading area, the address to find the location is 198 S. Capital Ave. Enter through the glass doors and take a right, you won't be able to miss it!

See below for a map and image of where to go if interested.

From what time to what time will people be at the trading area? I have a game from 1 to 3 on Wednesday so was wondering if will still be people there after 3. Or before 1. Thanks!

Yeah, people should be there. Kirk is there 10am - 4pm and I should be there by 3pm until the GT run.

Wade - Codenames is a good suggestion, but I don’t own any of the variants. Good visuals Trent, but I’m going to add one more. And Rafiq, we’ll be there probably for the bulk of the afternoon, since we don’t have anything else planned.

Lover Letter Batman is a great, quick, fun game, for 2 or more players.

You could also do Zombie Dice or any version of those games.

Win, Lose, Banana is also tons of fun.

I find Werewords to be incredibly fast and easy. Just use the app on your phone and ez game over in like 3 minutes.
