Really wish the rooms opened earlier to allow for icebreaker time and party get to know each other. I did well with my preplanned nightmare run but in pug's when folks are trying to sound each other out, even just to compare builds and discuss difficulty this extra time is needed.

Room timing felt very tight and failed a few rooms based on time. Certain effects that are pretty cool soak up limited time and the inherent delay between group decision and gollum action just felt like being punished time wise in the puzzle rooms. Combat when the DM took charge didn't feel too bad. DM's need to be more aggressive on poking the party to do something i feel in these digital dungeons.

My 1st run was a pug but no new players, it went okay but we failed more rooms then expected as just felt like we needed an extra 60-120 sec or an extra action or two.

My 2nd run today was a preplanned nightmare run, that went fairly well despite tech issues (gollum needed reset mid puzzle room). That was due to my group being the same one i play with at gen con and us already having a party speaker.

Party's not working together dang well happens in person especially in pug's. In virtual TD that issue feels far worse somehow with the time or in my case we had plans and we're doing things but due to nature of the platform just being a bit slower than normal.

Android app is very problematic depending on how your screen rotate or power/screen sleep settings are. Having to constantly enter the app and reenter virtual TD and re note my bard bonuses is frustrating and another source of lost time when i needed to make a roll.
I ended up going with dice and paper after and like to try Bluestacks or other emulator before my next run.

I like this but hope this feedback helps someone down the line.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

Good review. I would like to make a suggestion that everyone pick this review or mine and pile the comments there just so we don't have a bunch of threads that are reviews clogging up our boards. Of course everyone can do what they want, I just think if we keep these in 1 thread we won't have as many to sort through.

We were given up to 20 minutes in epilogue to hang out. I’d rather have some of that time before coaching.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I did feel this a little too... there was a certain amount of sunk time in visual presentation that made solving puzzles take a little longer than I felt they should.

BUT, on the whole I was very happy with the puzzles (there was one I just did not understand, but nobody else in the party had much of an idea either so I don't feel too bad)... and the overall presentation of the dungeon. Is there going to be a thread or way to offer constructive feedback?
Legally... its questionable. Morally... its disgusting. Personally... I *like* it.

I had a good time with it. Combat went well for my group, and seemed to flow pretty smoothly. Most of the puzzles were fun and fair despite being challenging, and were decently suited to the limitations of the golem. One puzzle my group failed hard, when time was up we had exactly the same amount of progress we did the second the golem stepped into the room. Looking forward to a second run on hardcore.

We seemed to have lots of.time, though I confess we ran out of time on one.or two puzzles.

It was a great time.
