TOPIC: Brand new player

Hey TD,
I have been passing by and commenting how cool TD is for years and never had the time or the idea to learn. This weekend I had some extra time between running our booth and other meeting that I was able to do 3 runs and I’m excited to do more.

YAY!! Welcome to TD Thomas. This is a great community similar to the other one we are connected to. So glad you joined and got to run. TD is just a blast and Virtual TD is quite fun as well. Definitely feel free to post any questions you are running into (no matter how basic you feels if is) as there are more than a few people that enjoy helping new players learn the ropes and navigate the fun that is our game. I’m in the process of learning everything. But I hope to do the virtual at least. I’m normally pulled in 37 ways at conventions and forget to eat and sleep. Between our booth and running games there isn’t always a ton of time. Now I just have to actually look at my tokens and see what they all mean ( great people helped me with there items for my runs this weekend)

One other thing you may want to check out is the discord server we have: discord.gg/ChhAQutq . This is non-official and not run by True Adventures, it's something an awesome player put together and the rest of us flocked to. It's a great place for some good natured discussion about tokens and rules, analysis of the dungeons, and random gaming talk that has nothing to do with TD at all. Just be prepared to mute it...the discord server is very active most days, and can get hyperactive when something noteworthy happens in the game at large.

You're going to enjoy virtual. It's not as good as in person runs, but it's way better than it has any real right to be.
