TOPIC: Open gaming at Skull Con, and what are you bringing?

Open gaming at Skull Con, and what are you bringing? 2 months 2 weeks ago #25

I'm definitely looking forward to gaming. I'll try to bring things that I think others are less likely to have. I haven't updated my BGG game list in a while, I'll try to do that this week, and then I can take requests.

I'll be arriving some time on Friday afternoon, and leaving after my 12:48 run on Saturday. Wish I could stay longer, but I have plans in Nashville on Saturday evening.

Most of my luggage space will be taken up by token transmutes, but I have a prototype game I've been taking to conventions for a few years now which I might bring along. Otherwise I'll be up for playing most things while I'm there.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

Kirk Bauer wrote: I'm not sure what I'm bringing yet but count me in for a full four rounds of Galaxy Trucker and also Le Havre if Wade brings it.

Nice!
And le Havre is a good game, but can be really long and grindy...so it would depend what others games are available at the time.
Actually, now I am curious, how many of us are into the heavy/deep euro games?

Speaking of which, does anyone have Food Chain Magnate? I've played it once and would love to give it another go.

And I suppose someone should bring a time filler party game: Codenames.
this is not a signature.

If there is interest, I may bring some munchkin sets.

Open offer to those attending. Since Salsa John and I are driving down on Thursday afternoon, we have room to bring a reasonable amount of games. If you are traveling and don't have the room, if I own it, consider me a lending library. Just message and I will add it to my stack if I have it available. Games I will be bringing personally: Dune - all versions I own plus expansions. Dice Games like King of Tokyo, Liar's Dice, Rattle Bones, Dice Forge etc. A plethora of non collectible card games. Possibly Fantasy Trip miniature RPG if I can put it together in the next couple of weeks. We will also be passing thru St Louis, if You have not secured transportation to Carbondale and we can make it work out, happy to have someone else for the ride (PM, limited space). Looking forward to seeing everyone in person.

Spud you forgot to list S'nafooey. Play for tokens instead of dimes.

Any requests? Other options would be too numerous to list, but would include Concordia, Agricola, Puerto Rico, Le Havre, and some squicker stuff like King of Tokyo, Ca$h n Gun$, Port Royal, etc.

I am in for Gaia Project. I've only demoed it at gencon a few years back and it immediately went onto my want list.

Games i was thinking of bringing:
7 Wonders (up to and including Babel expansion, but i havent played Babel)
Between Two Cities
Cash 'n Guns (base plus yakuza)
Five Tribes
Galaxy Trucker (plus some expansions...i really want to get a full 4 rounds in, every time i manage to get this to a table, the game breaks up after 2 rounds)
Kingsburg
Die Macher
Das Zepter Von Zavandor
Terraforming Mars

Time Agent (maybe...this is the best time travel game i have ever seen, but it has so much to learn just to get started, so i am mostly resigned to it staying on the shelf)
Scythe (maybe*)
Madeira (maybe*)
*i only played these once each, but i loved it enough to get it. if someone else knows them well enough to teach others, i will happily bring these

MTG - Commander decks
MTG - draft. I have sealed boxes of Strixhaven, Kamigawa Neon Dynasty, & Streets of New Capenna (plus basic lands) that i could bring if there was enough interest in drafting...oh, and Battle for Baldur's Gate should be in hand before SkullCon

Will be bring my commander decks and would be down for drafting. Don't have the time to do that much anymore. Also thinking of bringing Red Dragon Inn.

OK I recently bought the newly reprinted version of the old game of Dune I was really hoping to play. I know it’s worker placement and can be a bit heavy for some people but I loved loved loved that game in high school and would really like to play it again

I am a huge fan of extra-crunchy Euro games.

Dergidan wrote: Considering Bringing Too Many Bones: Undertow because I don’t get to play it much, and it’s kind of on-theme with tokens. I’d have enough with me for 3 maybe 4 players.

Might also bring a small and portable game like Ninja Dice

I would be interested in a draft if the timing is right.

Would be interested in Too Many Bones. Been a while since i've played but i'm fairly familiar with the game. If you're short gearlocs i could bring just about any of them. I've got most all of them at this point but would need a headsup if i'm to teach some of the advanced gearlocs.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

Bob I will be bringing everything Dune including expansions and the newer games recently released. Would love to play (and teach). My favorite game and I have been playing since 1979.

I'll need to figure out my luggage space, but I was planning to at least bring Wingspan (as well) and some card deck games like Anomia.
