Rolling ~8 years worth of different rare treasure box only drops into an UR doesn't seem too much of a stretch.

Seriously, I slap on Shadowskin and these greaves, throw in my Absorb ability, and why do I need a paladin? I wear the Ioun Stones and why do I need a cleric? It feels like we're upsetting the dynamic of me being a glass cannon that can deal significant damage, but needs the support of the party to survive. Not so much anymore. Just my opinion.

Yep, these should be marked as "All except Wizard".

And i would totally be ok with that.

In keeping with character theme restrict it to Paladins and Dwarf Fighters only.

Definitely scratching my head at the power bump on the greaves here from Alpha. They were already above-curve for the slot, and their power got tripled in this revision.

On top of even 1/3 of the power they're at now being over-curve for the greaves slot, as others have said, Shadowskin is already extremely good at once/game, and previously had to be nerfed because once/room was too good. Adding more, similar effects, just seems like a bad idea.

Jeff, I'm not sure it is a good idea to make Relics/Legendaries that are intentionally below the power curve and cost established by existing Relics/Legendaries. When more casual players have heard for years that Relics/Legendaries regularly sell for around $X/$Y, if they pull one next year and then find that no one will offer them anywhere near that amount, it feels like that could be a bit of a let down. Though maybe I'm picturing a bigger delta than you have in mind.

+1 to this concern, especially for legendaries

I was really excited when I made my first legendary because the actual token is amazing, not because it comes on orange plastic. Intentionally designing a "legendary" that's not actually legendary won't help anyone feel that same thrill, it will just muddy the waters and cause confusion. If the actual token you want to design is only relic level in power, why not just call it a relic?

I think the fallacy here is thinking that all legendaries should be comparable in power regardless of slot. As far as the rest of the game's design goes, all slots are not created equal. Jeff's thinking on reduced cost legendaries in weaker slots is very appropriate, imo.

Thought on the Legendary Ioun Stone.

In prior relic -> Legendary tokens, the jump has generally been 2.
Ex:
Relic Cloak to Legendary is +2 all saves
Greater Ring of Focus to Legendary is 2 focus
Drue's is +2 focus and +2 for increasing weapon type
etc

Perhaps the regen on the Legendary should be +5(?) That also nicely pairs with the 5hp cost of using a mage power.

But it does the exact same thing as those rare tokens. Why wouldn’t you buy 1 copy of all 8 of them for pennies rather than $85+ for a PYP? And all of those greaves are readily available even all these years later.

I might have missed why the shirt dosen't give a polymorph bonus. Was that for a reason? Makin' all of the Druids a bit sad.

Scrolls. Scrolls. Scrolls. I love scrolls even though I rarely play a caster. Scrolls have always been super cool magic items in D&D but does anyone EVER use them in TD??? Seriously, once you start getting the TD bug and building out your casting character's and investing in Tokens there doesn't seem to be much need for them since they are Rare and lower. I would like to see some higher powered 3 or 4 point transmute Scrolls that are created by transmuting a bunch of Rare or maybe Rare/Uncommon ones. Maybe even a super powerful UR Scroll that takes a lot of Rare Scrolls to make. What that combination is I don't know but I think it would be a great way for the Rare/Uncommon/Common ones to actually get used instead of just sitting in my scroll Token inventory pile. We have something somewhat similar with the Potion of Condensed Healing and also kind of like the new Treasure Maps. Please make some higher powered Scrolls to make them relevant and fun to use for players with upper end builds.

In my regular group that runs at Nightmare, yes, quite a few scrolls are used by our Bard, and to a lesser extent our Cleric.

Focus is +2 to healing, damage spells, and polymorph. I'm pretty sure. I think this may be the first time Focus has been used as a keyword, and focus tokens in the past have been a bit inconsistent.

I hope focus in this aspect does not include polymorph damage....the druid will be double dipping on the str bonus and the focus bonus for poly build.

It looks like One-Boot Billy's Map uses the same art as 2022 Pirate's Treasure Map.

Maybe a different image would be appropriate?
