The ring should allow Paladins to get both powers. Without both I doubt it takes over the slot from other rings. We'd probably be better off just getting an Amulet of Guarding reprint than this ring.


Can you say more about that?

It seems like if a Paladin wants the 2nd guard ability a choice between starting with:

A. Ability to guard 2 people and 2 ring slots. (Via Amulet of Guarding)

B. Ability to guard 2 people and 1 Neck and 1 ring slot. (Via Tobin's)

I'd have thought B is the more appealing option - especially with the Necklace of Baubles being printed this year and tokendb.com/token/earcuff-of-greater-glory/ making Ring slots a bit more flexible.


Not really without doing a lot of scenario building and investing way more time than its worth given the fact it probably won't be changed either way.

I notice for the Dream condition there are both common (scroll) and uncommon (potion) ways of undoing the Dream condition.

So it seems people might be going in and out of dream quite a bit.

This makes me wonder if when a character is brought back from dream, can they act in the same around?

E.g.:

In Combat the monster has won initiative.

Round 1 Monster Turn: Monster causes the Ranger to make a Dream save, which the Ranger fails. The Ranger has the Dream status.

Round 1 Player Turn: Cleric uses Scroll Dream Break targeting the Ranger.

Question: Can the Ranger now attack / use actions during Round 1? Or do they have to wait until round 2?

It seems like you're basing your numbers for UR ingredients off recent Legendary / Relic transmutes.

The Relic Charm of Awakened Synergy was unique in requiring 2 URs to make a relic.

I'm not saying the recipes are correct / perfect now - I'm just noting that Charm of Awakened Synergy has a higher UR cost than typical Relics. So I don't think it's necessarily the case that the new synergy relic, and a new synergy legendary would have the same UR cost than other relics / legendries.


Mostly basing my numbers on almost every Relic and Legendary. Now that I know there were 2 UR's for the CoAS, I feel even more strongly about keeping the recipe to only use 3 UR's in the entire chain.

Not only that, but because the Charm of Awakened Synergy took 2 UR's to make, the TG cost was fairly low as well.

If we can get a recipe for the Legendary, that uses both relics, I'd imagine the costs for TG's would reflect that as well.

A quick correction and amendments to a few things in Jeff's place today.

The recipe template for the Charm of Unity and Smith's Charm of Unity had two typos by me.
  • The year should be 2027, not 2026. This was me trying to not write down the wrong so close to new years. And I overcorrected
  • Charm of Unity should require Charm of Coordination in its recipe list, not the Charm of Unity itself

Yes, though in most cases other players will have had to use their action to break them out of it via administering a potion or casting a scroll.

All other feedback has been observed and documented. More changes are likely to be made in response to them, but this is just the easy stuff I can clarify without meeting with Jeff about

I wish there wasn't yet another new Slot coming on board. Put a pause on new Slots please. But if it absolutely must happen please do something other than a Face slot. I just don't like Masks, Masks are a weird item to be "equipping" on a "Face slot" which also seems weird. It's too much of a stretch. Next year will there be an Elbow Slot, or a Kneecap Slot? Getting really corny. Idol Slot, or Pendant Slot, or Talisman Slot, or something else besides Face please.

I feel like the recipe for the Relic is perfectly fine, but the Legendary seems unreasonably expensive in terms of URs, especially since it requires two Relics (or a Relic and 2URs) as a base. I'm hoping the number of TGs is much lower versus other Legendary recipes to compensate for that.

I still don’t understand the logic behind these recipes. Put yourself in the shoes of people like me who weren’t around for the previous CoAS and CoA and CoS. You’re asking me to buy 6 ultra rares along with trade goods to transmute up the chain. Why?
