How come Rogues cannot use the Voidbane Cannon?

I would still like to see one wand slotted somewhere in the set. I know I sound like a broken record but this is the right time to make these kind of requests.

I would also be fine with it if all current wands had errata back to permanent wands.

One option to balance it and reflect it having being a martial weapon might be to have all classes be able to use it but everyone not on the current list has 2 stunned numbers then cleric and paladin have 3 stunned numbers (since they are using something unnatural and antethema (sp?) to most PC religions.)

I personally am not a fan of tokens that have no effect in VTD since it is a large chunk of what we are playing these days. The canon’s stun ability and the Ioun stone slide ability are not and best I can tell be useful in VTD. I am more ok with tokens rare or lower not being useable in VTD.

If I missed a note on this somewhere sorry. I am mostly looking at the tokens are reacting to them. I have been too busy to keep up with all the post.

Just curious if Medallion of Mystic Mouth was errataed to allow the use of a Mystic Staff in addition to a wand would that satisfy your request? That might be too strong since the staff gets ranged damage mods, but I'm wondering if that might be an alternate path to explore.

I think it must be considered as a long bow.

Rogues can usually use short bows and crossbows but not longbows.

They also couldn’t use the +2 broomstick.

Overall rogues can use around 1/2 the UR or higher bows.

I’d guess part of why the tighter class restrictions is to justify a better overall weapon for those that can use it, sort of like the Slayer Sword.

The way to do it and have it be comparable in power to how wands work would be to:

Allow mystic staves to to count as wands with a damage value of their highest pip.

(Mystic Staves used in this way are turned in at the end of room.)

I purposed during the design suggestion phase a +2 Voidbane sniper that would let rogues make ranges sneak attacks with it but unfortunately it wasn't included. A sniper is much more rogue than a cannon.

Amythest Sphere seems fiddly in VTD. In a live game it’s hard to track - I suggest you don’t want to give a reason for people to crowd the table, and it’s not something you can put on the DM.

Natasha’s nightcap is cool but why limit to Rare? I’d include any potion.

Plague Kilt - three comments here. First, Fighters deserve nice things too and this is just one more cool token that makes other classes better. I’d rather see “melee weapons” than 2 handed. Second, please not a kilt. I liked boots better. I’d hate for something that competes with Dungeonbane. Third I’d probably go +5 nit +6.

I agree with others about the Paladin and Tobin’s - and, not “or” and allow stacking.

With all the issues with the Ioun Stone, tracking and what not, it might br a good idea to replace it with something else. Don't think 5 hp for fighters makes it worth taking for them.
