My first question is, are Hagstones and Familiars new slots? Will they start at a cap of 1 per character?

Good questions.

All Hagstones are slotless. It only says slotless on the first year version. That's how we usually do it. They all stack, of course.

Familiars: It is a new slot with one socket.

But will all of the Hagstones stack with Arcanum Hagstone? Or will Arcanum Hagstone be the one that can't be run with others?

All Hagstones stack since they are slotless.

Thanks for your concern. I think this was mostly seen on Oil of Enchantment and Elven Bismuth, and this was mostly to do with the Mythic tokens overlapping at the same time. This won't be happening in 2029.

I'm also not sold on the bead upgrade for the multi year, since you have items that enhance combat capabilities, and when you transmute them, you are protected if you don't enter combat? That seems counter intuitive, if you ask me.

I can see your point that it is not a directly relatible upgrade. I was going for something that will be the classic choice of picking offensive power or a strong defensive one. Some folks will stick with the offense, for sure.

BTW, I am not sure all players fully understand the powerfulness of how this effect works for everyone. If you lose Initiative (first round), you have not taken any action yet -- so you are protected.

How many mythic tokens are people actually making? From what I've been hearing, it was the Ring and Greaves tokens, along with Bead of Asgards/Bifrost Charms that were causing the crunch on Oils and Bismuths. I haven't heard of anyone making Mythic Tokens yet, so not sure how much of a drain on those trade goods those have been, vs the 5 or so multi year tokens that completed this year.

As for the bead, I realized that it would make you immune if you lose initiative, for sure, but I still don't see the bead being all that useful, especially since people strive to win initiative everytime.
It just seems too much of a different effect, based on what will be used to make it, vs every other UR multi year tokens we have had in the past.

Those tokens also lend themselves to a set of some kind, either Eldrich or Arcanum, which this doesn't seem to do. Are we breaking precedent with this token as well?

Due to the shorter 3-year span, we are making some adjustments to what becomes an Arcanum set piece.

But will we have lvl 6 subclasses?

Also for 6th level, will this new familiar be the only current way to get it? Or will the Arcanum and Eldritch level boosts stack and allow us to get to 6th level that way?

The Homonuclus will be the only way (+1 another +1 level power) to play 6th level characters.

Understood, and I noticed you say the Homonculus isn't in the familiar slot so it wouldn't conflict with the 8k transmute which makes me happy. Thanks!

This was a team effort with big help from Impy, Matt Hayward and Dave G...and delirium-fueled late nights after a long day of token work! ;)

So for Min/Max folks like myself we should get 2 of each when they come out so we can run 1 of each of them + the combined one?

Jeff, are you sure you want to lock yourself into never offering another way to play 6th Level? A few years down the road, you might want to open it up again for newer/other players. If nothing else, maybe just lock it down for a few years (maybe say something like the earliest another way to 6th Level would be introduced would be 2033 or something).

I think the bigger issue is the symmetry of the safehold program recipes leads to shortages because the recipes are not balanced against what the expected amount is from items in the set.

If we just count oil of enchantment in all the safehold levels and the items to be full up on new slots it would take 37 oil of enchantment, this does not include the 50 oil of enchantment you need to make all 5 mythics

Good idea. I will amend the FAQ to reflect it might change at a later date.

That is an interesting idea...and a lot less work. However, I think it is finally time to make this effect a reality.

Fair enough! Maybe base the 6th level cards on the current subclasses, give them an attribute boost and retroactively say that RoSP and SoC also get you to level 6? Just riffing.
