TOPIC: 2027 Ultra Rares FINAL - Almost!

Is the drop rate different, or is it the constant increase of a new TE every two years, combined with more in person events, combined with VTD existing?

Maybe I'm wrong. But I will say this, years ago you couldn't come by a UR for much under $100 on the secondary market, or a Legendary for under 1K. That's definitely changed. So less of my $$ goes to Token purchases directly from TD because it's much cheaper to buy them on the secondary market. More supply then demand. Pretty simple. Where the "supply" is coming from can be debated.

I'll have to disagree here on this. I think this analysis overlooks how the game and community has changed over the years. We have a very small community and we had several mega collectors leave it in recent years. Their entire collections have been distributed among our small community, fundamentally reshaping demand and average power level. High end builds are no longer URs, the majority of slots have Relic, Legendaries or Eldritch/Arcanum items in them now. Their demand will naturally fall as they are no longer the most common source of leveling up to the majority of the invested players here.

The only way to create more demand for them is to not limit supply but figure out ways to bring in new players and make existing players become invested. How people enter True Dungeon now isn't the way it was before. Those of you who have been around much longer than I grew with the game year over year, and its difficulties grew with you. Now there is a bulk cost up front to enter the higher levels of play and treasure. Not to mention 20+ years of tokens to choose from now. All this also fundamentally changes how someone will look at investing their money into this game and how much they want to spend on a token.

I think both more in person events plus VTD have a big impact on many more treasure pulls per year. And I imagine the average person playing VTD has quite a few treasure pulls each run. Max treasure pulls on VTD is probably pretty common.

Exactly, well put.

If supply is exceeding demand, then the only way to reduce the supply other than reducing token sales is to have fewer URs in treasure boxes.

In my opinion the number of UR's in the treasure mix is fine. It really does not affect the price of PYP's in auctions. Auctions deal with a finite ending amount. When there is a popular token such as the MoE parts commanding a high price, other prices drop. The trade goods are in demand due to Ring Con, Safeholds, Arcanum Items, etc. With the Rings, MoE Marks, Tenets and trade goods in demand, PYP prices went down drastically.

If you want greater demand, increase the number of adventurers. TD is constantly trying to do this. Leave the treasure mix alone it is not broken. Karma rewards those who are positive.

If treasure gets nerfed more, I'm doing less runs and selling 95% of my build and doing normal only runs with no TEs. There is really no point in me doing multiple runs if there's no chance at a dopamine hit while getting treasure. If you want people to buy less tickets this would be how to do it. If you really want to increase the value of URs give me a way to break them down and turn them into trade goods or gold because good lord I need those currently.

I completely disagree. I pull around 2K in treasure at Gen Con. In the past, 2020 - 2023, I would pull at least one legendary, 2 -3 relics, and 4 - 5 UR's. For 2024 - 2025, I pulled around 2K in treasure, and I had 1 legendary, 1 relic, and 3 UR's. The treasure is getting worse from my perspective.

Maybe I'm beating a dead horse, but could we replace the Ioun Stone that causes issues with bumping and perhaps replace it with an Ioun Stone that gives you protection from Retribution damage, like a Shirt of Shielding?
