Easy but wet 5 miles last night, negative split.  Weather in SoCal?  That's unpossible!

This new forum is going to take some getting used to!

Ran 12 miles today with group 3. Ran a very hilly course - felt pretty good, although I've been feeling sore tonight!

I agree - stil feel like I'm finding my way around unfamiliar halls. But seeing your training posts makes it look just a little more famliar.

So I did 5 miles on Sunday with my new Garmin Forerunner - got it from Jen for my anniversary! Awesome present!

Running on Halloween to benefit the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Research. Still trying to decide on a costume. Any ideas?

How about the "Flash"? That has probably been done to death though. I did hear about someone going to Halloween as a Chilean Miner, would that work? Or you could take the easy way out and go as a cyclist. Yeah, a little poster board for the wheels, PVC pipe and tape should finish it out. Suspenders should allow you to have hands free use.
Too much? The wind might be a problem.
Yeah probably.
Well, the only other suggestion I have is to go as a balloonist. Strap on a big helium balloon and run with the wind.

Kewl ideas! Thanks! I like the Flash idea! Another in the same vein would be Hermes - now where could I get some winged sandals?

Nice run last night, although I definitely feel tired when I run at night. Interesting to run on the unlit beach path all by myself (other than passing the shouting homeless guy). Did a little over 4 miles, finishing about a minute per mile faster than I started.

Tomorrow we run 13.

And we did the 13! Actually we did 13.17 - we figured it you are going to run 13 miles, you might as well run a half-marathon! Time was 1:51:04. Faster than I expected.

Thanks!

Yesterday was the LA Cancer Challenge 10K. I raised about $200 for pancreatic cancer research. Finished 72nd, 62nd of men, 12th in division. Not a PR with a time of 46:01, but I wasn't trying for one. Will go for a PR in the Venice Xmas run in December.

Ran last night instead of Tuesday - was too busy watching election returns!

Ran 5 miles last night at a fairly easy pace - 42:54. Felt really draggy at the end. I really prefer running in the mornings before going thru a day of work.
