Re: Top Ten Things you will Not see at True Adventures in 2006 18 years 1 week ago #25

Hey...since this thread is so far off track...

What do you guys think of my uber-geeky AD&D avatar? I think I am in love.

Next...I want to get Tom to animate it showing some lizardmen walking by.

BTW...Dave Trampier actually lives here in Carbondale!

It is UBER-GEEKY, did you really have to ask? =D

Lizardmen are so cool!

And my toothpast of choice has always been Crest.

NOW we are sufficiently off track!

I love the geeky avatar! I actually missed the earlier version when you switched to the 'Patsy" one. But this one is SO much cooler.

I love the crowbar reference, too. Reminds me of:

"Kender will steal anything which isn't nailed down.
Kender with crowbars will steal those things, too."

... don't know where the quote is from (D&D manual?) but it was the inscription on a card given to me at Christams once, and the gift which accompanied it was a bright blue crowbar, to match my thief costume.

I cast another vote in favor of the uber-geeky avatar. That would be awesome if you could get some lizardmen walking by in the avatar. My friends and I loved the final room in the 2004 version of True Dungeon. We were the very first group to go through that year and Tom Gowen was our dm. We all made it through alive.

Kim

Definately love the 1st Ed PH icon with moving flame. In fact, when I first saw it, I downloaded and saved it. I kept myself from using it however out of respect (and because I didn't want everyone else throwing those +1 boulders at me).

JKW
The last update has been made. I had been considering "The evil mastermind behind the spider cult will be General Patsy" but I had already made one Patsy reference. I hope I didn't ruin too many surprises for people but I thought the truth should be known. =D
Thanks for your patronage.
David (S.)
