So I watched Soylent Green for the first time last night. It takes place in 2022, and the opening montage features a shocking number of images with people wearing masks. Perhaps we should be worried...

It’s more environmental than biological, and there are not 40 million people living in New York City yet, so there is that.

Is it any good (by 1973 standards)? It has Charlton Heston so it has that going for it. I always loved Omega Man, but I've never seen this one.

I thought it was pretty good. But I was amazed how many people have 1970s clothes and decor in 2022.

i really liked the movie. every time i watch it, i catch something new that intrigues me.

BTW: is there any city in the world close to 40 million?

Tokyo-Yokohama metro area is between 37 million and 38 million.
