Hi Stu,

I'd recommend renting some of the games to determine which ones you prefer, but I can tell you of the ones that I do own.

Just a preface, I bought my Wii purposely as a party game machine that I can drag around with me.

I have my own quirky choice in games.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - You use the nunchuk attachment joystick for movement and shield blocking. You use the main Wiimote for sword slashing, thrusts, etc. Action/Adventure style game. My only problem with this (and a lot of other Wii games) is there is no true voice over.

Rayman Raving Rabbids - They use the Wiimote and nunchuk in all their flexibility. One of my favorite minigames is the cow tossing. You hold down the trigger and swing the Wiimote like a lasso and release to swing the cow across a field. Though it is not a very deep game, it does put the Wiimote through its paces.

Super Paper Mario - Another platform/action game. You use the Wiimote sideways like a controller, but on occasion you can use it to aim at objects on the screen for info. Not an innovative use of the Wiimote, but the game play is excellent, they take advantage of your 2Dness when doing the dimension flips (you spin the world 90 degrees) to fight in 3d mode for a period of time. It lets you get around obstacles and makes the world bigger.

Wii Sports - the DVD that came with the Wii. Tennis and Bowling are hands down my favorite games on this. Controls are responsive. I found the boxing to be delayed. Golf holds no interest for me, so I can't imagine how Tiger Woods Golf will do for you Stu. And the baseball is semi since all it is is forcing homerun hits or be forced out by automated ball catching.

I cannot give a review on Call of Duty or Medal of Honor, but I have heard Red Steel gets repetitive with it's sword action.

My next planned purchases will be:
Mario Party 8
That new Naruto game (Fighting) when I mod my Wii or it gets published here.

Games I heard are good:
Elebits is supposed to be constant aiming with the Wiimote flipping things around/over/upside down to find the "elebits".
