Think of it this way, if you suck at roleplaying and puzzle solving, you only have to commit to round 1 because chances are you're not going to advance anyway :P.

It is a huge time commitment, but it's fun as heck if done with a good group. Give round 1 a try if nothing else and see how it goes.

Nascgar looks Very interesting But it's Way too time intensive for me personally.

Pity they won't let me play as a pinch hitter using generic tickets :)

I'd LOVE to play some D&D but since I'm not an RPGA member I'd give up the spot to others who were.

Boooo-urns to RPGA. Wa-hooo to NASCRAG. We're sitll looking for people to fill out our nascrag team. If you like roleplaying and have a sense of humor to boot, it's a spiffy event. I think we still need 2 people to fill out the group. It's the start of a new story arc this year so everyone starts fresh. If you're interested, drop me a PM.

Only one, likely. You forgot Lena, the new woman in our gaming group here in Chicago. She's most likely going to come for the full four days and will probably want to run it with us.
I'm not sure what we need to do to make it "official", but I would be willing to run D&D RPGA modules for anyone that's interested at GenCon. Is there some interest in this? Does anyone in TD play RPGA? I love to DM, I don't find RPGA modules all that horrible, and I can run Verbobonc modules for those of you outside our region.

If your interested, holler back and maybe we can get something together.

Jenett

I can bring up to 3 players to the table, depending on time slot. It would save my hubby from getting stuck with another gawdawful smelly group of random individuals at a random event that looked OK in the catalog. He'd be very happy!

Err, um, I'm assuming you guys won't be gawdawful and smelly... at least none of the ones I've met have been! =D

I would also add, that I would be glad to help if you need any. We played the Open last year, so we should still be members. I have DM'd before, but not for RPGA. If you are set for help already, I enjoy playing just as much. Sounds fun!

Signed Binia's hubby.

I (was) a big player in Living Greyhawk. I quit when I found out the campaign was ending, but still have a range of characters from 1-12 and would be willing to play.

The big event at Gencon (sorry TD!) is the introduction of Living Forgotten Realms, the campaign that will replace Greyhawk :crybaby2: at the end of the year. The first adventures will be released there.

Living campaigns are a blast. If it follows the Greyhawk exp. model it will take 40 or so 4-hour adventures to reach level 10. You keep your same character(s) while you play.

except I don't suck at RP'ing or Puzzle solving... so we're back to that Time commitment :)

I'm sure it's Great fun... I just have other things higher on the To Do list Like Volunteer at TD :)
-Master Li Lou Bahn, Terror of the East, Master of Shadows, Pillager of the province of Ch'in, Mandarin of the Emporer Shou Wei, Ambassador to the foreign devils of the West, and the most dangerous ninja in all of Greyhawk."cause I'm the only ninja in all of Gwehawk!!!"

Hmm... may be interested in learning more...
I always have to DM our D&D groups - but if there is a group near enough to me where I can actually play, that'd be sweet.

Far from it. She's one of those rarest of all gamers.

1. She's female
2. She's a young professional
3. She's umm... extremely easy on the eyes =)
4. She's intelligent
5. She's fun to be around

As you know, this doubly blesses our group. Having both Melissa and Lena there makes for a fun and pleasurable gaming experience.

Welp, that's good to hear. At first I thought you meant Butch's wife had joined the group (actually went to old emails to check to see if the names matched), since he seems to have returned. It's not like I had much exposure to her at Melissa's birthday party but she was McGimpy to the max. You don't have to tell Butch I said that btw.

Excellent! I'm also not opposed to running a non-RPGA event but stealing their modules. I've run some really fun RPGA modules in the past that I think TDers would enjoy.
So, I'm going to start a poll (if I can). Please send me some preferences.

Jenett
