So how does the volunteer process work this year? Should we go ahead and register for GenCon badges? What types of things can we volunteer for, and what time commitment will be expected for each job?

For volunteer info you can contact Lee Vaugn, True Dungeon Slave Driver at:

I believe there will be a lot of volunteer opportunities this year at different levels of time commitment required (and subsequent levels of badge/hotel room reimburstment)

For the most part we are looking for either full or part time volunteers.
Full time basically means working 8-10 hours a day Wed-Sat, plus some time on Tues and Sun for set-up and breakdown. In exchange for your hard work you will recieve a con badge as well as a spot in a room with other TD volunteers. This is in addition to the loads of fun and the respect and envy of the gaming public.

Part time would consist of working at least 16 hours during the con. The positions would vary depending on the days and times you would be available.

In general the positions we have are DM's, admin, tavern characters and prop hands (bluehands). That should give you the basics, let me know if you need more specific info.

Beowulf Squire-
It arrived today in perfect condition and is absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait for everyone to see it at Indy. Thank you so much for making it (and for being to add the gems that I asked for.)

Read the teaser to the INDY con...I think it is in there...or in something else Jenn posted perhaps...

I can give you a hint - it is bigger than a bread box.

Maybe Jenn would accept a rumor token if you sent one in. ;)
Glad to hear it arrived OK. The packaging was my Dad's idea but it was probably a good way of shipping it.

Beowulf Squire-

I'll second Jenn - It looks great! the packaging was a good idea, since we can use it for long term storage with very little concern of breakage.

Gary-
The box arrived a few minutes ago. They look incredible and are exactly what I had in mind. One piece fell off in transit but I've reattached it. I'll show them off to the local crew tonight. Thanks for all the time and effort.

YEAH -

I'm bummed about the one piece...was it blue and at the top? Some of those things stuck out a bit...and maybe it was my bad due to putting in so much popcorn.

GLAD you like! That means it was all worth it. Let me know how the others like them!

WHOO HOO happy day!
