TOPIC: Amorgen's Character Designer (Excel Spreadsheet)

This thing is great! It's been a while since I used the spreadsheet, great to see all of the updates. I will be playing around with this and see if it jives with the other character builders. I noticed on the Wizard's tab to the right of the character information in the cells starting with "GS" there are red triangles in some cells (notes) and green triangles in others. Just wanted to mention it, maybe you forgot to hide or remove these notes. Thanks for your efforts!!

I prefer those columns hidden, but for some reason Excel would not let me, giving me an error message as if I was trying to over widen a column. Very weird and not something I ran into on any other tab. I'm still researching it, but in the meantime I changed the text color trying to avoid confusion.

It appears the Sea Raiders set bonuses are not triggering? Either that or I'm supposed to do something special to make them trigger and I'm not sure what that is.

Ioun Stone Obsidian Shard not giving it's +2 to spell dmg

It could just be user error on my side but when i download either of the new files they do not work in excel.

Working on a post-RingCon version that will include this fix.

Downloaded both online versions and they are working on the current version of Microsoft 365 Excel. on a Windows 11 PC. Can you confirm what type of device, OS, and version of Excel you are running?

This version seems to be incomplete. I started inputting my fighter and gave up when I noticed that key tokens weren't in the database. The list so far (includes errors):


+4 Savage Blade
+1 Archer's Buckler
Pern's Redoubt Helm
Byr's Anointed Redoubt Plate
Greaves of the Stalwart do not have their damage reflected in the appropriate slot
Amulet of Noble Might
Hireling Oracle's bonus to saving throw is not included like it should be
Underling Druid's resistances are not reflected in the appropriate resistance areas
Follower Hdgekin allows you to equip a 2nd hand slot item but there is only 1 such slot

Thank you for sharing you observances. A few puzzle me because they are working on 2027.02 for me. I will look at the two items below that looked like there could be a problem. The resistances section was added when I was considering a support of VTD and I kept it after deciding not to. There could be some bugs in it.

Here were my findings:

+4 Savage Blade (do you mean Kilgor's +4 Savage Sword)? - confirmed in version
+1 Archer's Buckler - confirmed in version - remember that you have to 1st equip a 2 hd ranged
Pern's Redoubt Helm - confirmed in version
Byr's Anointed Redoubt Plate - confirmed in version
Greaves of the Stalwart - will look into, this may need an update
Amulet of Noble Might (do you mean Viv's Amulet of Noble Might?) - confirmed in version
Hireling Oracle - is +2 to all saves - confirmed working
Underling Druid - this may need an update
Follower Hedgekin - the extra hand will be in the Follower Gear slot right under the Follower slot, not as a second hand slot.

A few diagnostic questions:

Are you using Excel or a comparable spreadsheet program?
Which operating system are you using?
Are you sure you were on the Fighter or Dwarf Fighter tab when you were building?
Which Safehold level was equipped?

Noticed a couple issues:

Barbarian with +1 Berserker Carnage Axe, +1 Bliss Long Bow, and Ring of Radiance is showing 0 missile damage but should be +2.

Pants of the Pub gives +1 CON, should be +2

Rogue with +1 Assassin's Blade, Brawler's Horn, and Enchanter's Whetstone shows +3 to hit, should be +4. Change mainhand to +2 Sun Scimitar and down to +2 to hit, again should be +4.
