TOPIC: Amorgen's Character Designer (Excel Spreadsheet)

Just did a quick test. I don't have an office 365 subscription so I could not test making changes. I set up a file and emailed it to myself so I could open it on my ipad.

Only one problem I saw. The damage type icons did not display.

Being a religious user of Open/Libre Office I no longer even own a MSFT copy.

And now I see them. Not sure what changed, but it's fine now.

What are the chances that will be available before Gen Con 2014?

Thinking a 30 free trial is headed my way. Though it's pretty unlikely I will pull any tokens that will change my builds.

The descriptive text for Orb of Might still says only Rangers can use it as a weapon. It will let a Monk equip it, but that text probably ought to be changed.

On the Equipment Card tab, the Figurine 2 row is not included in the Print_Area.

Darkthorn Shield is listed as an armor vice as a shield.

Druegar - are you thinking about using this in coaching or just for your runs?

I'm definitely using it for my runs. As a coordinator, I don't do much actual coaching anymore, but I would definitely consider using it if I did. I plan on having my iPad with me on my shifts, do it's an option that's open for me.

I haven't done a speed comparison. I don't know for certain if it would be able to complete a person's stats faster than I could by hand. It's more accurate at doing the math, but I've noticed when entering my own characters that there is sometimes a delay between when a token is selected and when the info propagates. This is especially true when revising a slot I've already made a selection for.

It also depends on how much other data you have in the spreadsheets and the computer I am using I have found. I have an older little notebook laptop that after every change it takes several seconds for it to do calculations, but my newer laptop I don't even notice with 12 characters full of tokens.

I actually wondered about putting the whole think into a database...just thinking about it at this point.
