I don't know. Yelling quickly shifts me into meep mode, where wanting to run and hide is first/preferable course of action.
But I can inquire of my brothers if B & C adversely affects initiative. I thought it botched will saves. :P
Ring of Binding?

I really like that idea!

Not necessarily as a token for Smak (though it could work that way) but as a real token whic hthe party might encounter.

I've said before that the "Remove Curse" token is relatively useless... unless there are going to be Cursed Items in the Dungeon. A cursed item would be really easy to make, too: Print a token with intriguing text but no explanation (ie, Ring of Binding, or Necklace of Bats' Eyes, or Sword of Safety) and put it in a place where players will see it, and want to pick it up. As soon they pick it up, the DM reveals the stats (negates any other ring on that hand, or causes player to be blind, or the Safety sword is extra dull (can't cut and can't be put down))

The DM could also use the Party Card to note which player was affected by the Curse, so players didn't "forget" to tell the DM in the next room. And who knows... the next room might possibly have a Remove Curse token in it as treasure.

I could totally see some players wanting to keep the "Cursed item" token as a souvenir of their adventure, even if it's not something you'd ever want to equip with.

Thank you.
It wasn't too plainly derivitive.
Handfasting would have been too obvious. Ring of Binding sounded like something a spell caster would have.

And agreed there are far too few cursed things. The specials in 03', and the duck when Dave DM'ed in 05'.
We need more cursed stuff!
Teehee.

Cursed items would be fun, especially if it is something you can physically represent with the players!

Blinding - put on a blindfold
Silence - put a gag on the person
etc. etc. etc.

Obviously it would be optional for players as it can't make them uncomfortable.

LOL! I'm sorry Indy, but you just gave me a slightly evil thought, of if a monster cast darkness on the whole group, the light sources(torch and board) get turned off while under effect. Buwhahahahaa.
Oh yeah, you know that would get complaints, but still its a fun thought from a vol. point of view. :P

Cursed tokens would be a fun addition - how about something that negates the bonus of magic weapon?

Joyus, even if you win initiative, there is no weapon that can be used - I go down to defeat every time!

Brian
Oh come on, you must be exaggerating!
There must be at least some acceptable compromises?

Hmm Boots of Escaping should not go to Smak then....

The First year tokens were introduced...there were Tokens named "Special?? " redeemable only in the dungeon. When people redeemed them they got cursed. Suffice to say people didn't like it very much.

Why don't we let people play them on others. They still won't like it very much but at least there will be an opposing force of vitriolic joy.

Wasn't there a curse put on you if you pulled your hand out of the skulls early???

I can see LOTS of cursed items in the dungeon - wasn't the pendant on the lich/skeleton guy also cursed to turn the Paladin into a regular fighter?

These are much more enjoyable curses (if there is such a thing) as opposed to turning in a ??? token for a surprise - only to find out ZAAAPPP you get -2 to all save throws...
