The 20 packs was just a suggestion to get some volume in the sets. Remember, the first goal is to achieve critical mass...the “cheap stuff” will work itself down the list...

But getting an instant grat dashboard is absolutely key to the success of a mobile app. The app is functional, but it must have the “instant grat” to stick...otherwise, it goes with the other 100 apps that don’t get opened on your phone.

With a “leaderboard” top 20 haves, and top 20 wants, you will encourage an engaging way for people to get things posted and attempt to find their way to the top. This “gamification” of these lists will ultimately drive user experience and hence drive user interaction.

The current app is functional to an extent, but right now...first opens are critical. The initial wave of people trying this need to see any glimpse of something useful to them....

And remember, the broad market wants to trade in the RARE category...not the UR and legendary...sorry people, but if you want to expand the base, we gotta think about the $5 tokens first and make them successfully alluring...I was there only 8 months ago...Kirk can vouch for all the orders I have made in $5-10 wares...Get the players hooked at that range...you will broaden the entire trading base...

Think of it as a funnel...one gets the next...

Just some suggestions...love the thoughts on all of this...you have something that can really energize the player base quickly!

I agree with you about the rares, but there's nothing in the app that limits trading rares. People can go crazy with the rares

But, I'm mostly doing this app for fun and because I thought it would be useful. I don't feel a strong need to "hook" people on it, and it's not the kind of app people are going to use more than once or twice a week as they update things. I don't think anyone is needing instant gratification in getting a trade match - people post on the forums for trades and wait weeks for responses.

I think it is great, and will get even better!

I like the idea of a top list, but dont think it's a huge dealbreaker.

I think this could certainly create a tidal wave of token activity that is often limited by the high price of many items and the rare (EBay) platforms for purchasing them at more affordable price points. Especially for players that have some experience but aren't yet able to commit heavily in the token industry, this could really offer them the chance to improve their characters thereby improving their enjoyment of TD as a whole.

I just pushed version 1.2.0 (build 10) to the google play store. The changes in this release are:

Add the option to sort your haves/wants lists either alphabetically or year-then-alpha. See options on Settings page.
Add the ability to see users that have things on your want list (aka one-way trade).
Add the ability to see another the have/wants list of users that matched with you. You can control if other users can see your entire list (or just the matched tokens) via the Settings page. Defaults to fully visible.
Fixed a performance issue on the trade panel.



iOS version is percolating through Apple's process. As much as I love Apple, this part is frustrating.

Added my haves / wants.

A few feature requests:

1. Add a "2019 Complete Monster Trophy Set" item, and also 2016-18.

2. Add some kind of "space bucks" currency so we can optionally designate approximate trade values.

Yes, I have an Boots of the Four Winds for trade. No, I'm not interested in trading it for 12 junk URs from the past years.

Give me a way to say: BotFW are worth 1200 space bucks to me in trade. +2 War Shilleleagh is worth 40 space bucks.

Maybe GP would be a good "space buck" currency

3. Give me a way to propose trades directly in the app, that result in the other person getting an in app notification of my proposed trade.

4. If 2+3 were implemented I'd pay for this app, or even pay per trade proposal made.

5. "Most Wanted" - Show me what is wanted in the community.

6. After entering my haves and wants, and going to the "Trades" tab I see the no trades message. I had to drag down to get it to refresh. Reload the trades screen when it is loaded if I've made changes to haves or wants since last visit.

OR - it would be super cool if the first time I enter something that makes a trade possible I get a pop up "trade detected!" or something.

7. In addition to +/- buttons have a +10 button.

8. Include rare volunteer tokens in the "UR and better" list.

9. Have a search on the trades tab. I entered all my stuff and now I have ~15 trading partners, but I have to click into each to see what they've got. Help me figure out how to search for a particular item, like Ioun Stone Gold Nugget.

10. Add some more categorical searches like "trade" - categories suggested:
* Eldritch & Ingredients - All Eldrtich tokens and their ingredients
* 2016-19 Monster Bits
* All Volunteer Tokens
* All completion tokens
* 'Most Wanted' - tokens with the most demand community wide

11. Have a way to mass enter all tokens of a rarity and year combination. For example, I have every 2019, 18, and most of 17 rares for trade. I'm not going to go in and enter all that though. If I could enter a set of filters like: 2019 + Rare, then select all, then with a few button presses indicate I have them all for trade I would.

12. Remove Artifacts from the lists.

Oh - also - show me quantities of tradeable items.

I see someone who has 2 monster bits I want, and wants a UR I have. I'm not going to trade a UR for 2 monster bits, but I would trade it for ~10 of each.
