I agree the druid is underpowered. A friend got his legendary for druid the same time ai got my rogue legendary and there is no comparison.

The druid elemental form limits on 1/room weren’t necessary. I can’t recall the logic behind it other than to prevent taking resistance from an element on defense, then changing into something the target is vulnerable to later. Even that is minor - an extra 10 damage could get the druid to around 90 on a crit, possibly 100. By comparison, a well built rogue using the crossbow has a minimum crit damage of over 100 and a bigger crit threat range.

I recommend the following:
1. Change forms as frequently as desired,
2. Enhance the air elemental form to allow for flight in combat rooms,
3. Double both the elemental resistances and damage applied via vulnerability.,
4. A charm or similar ability limiting effectiveness of opponents if the druid is shapechanged into their form.

I don't know about that - I don't recall Druids posting negative comments on the recent Wizard thread.

Is that a request for me to post a link to you saying the Wizard legendary is good as is?

The most recent one, like from a few days ago? Sure. Every thread about the Wizard legendary during development? Yeah, you know you did it enough that you called yourself out by replying to my comment that named no names.

Fred, those are some good suggestions. Lots of possibilities from the suggestions on the thread, including either/or pumping up the polymorph more and adding something like a big Focus bonus to help all Druid builds. :)

Jeff / Druegar - do you know when / if a review and possible modification of Iktomi’s Shaper Necklace might take place?

I don’t have a horse in this race as I only play druid as a fill-in for other people.

With that said, I have done so at NM and Epic levels. The druid legendary is, by a good measure, the weakest of all the class legendaries we’ve had so far. I’m avoiding discussions about the ones coming out for 2021 because changes there are still possible. But of the barb, druid, rogue, paladin, and bard items - they would rank (in terms of overall class impact and power levels) as follows:
1. Monk
2. Rogue
3. Barbarian
4. Ranger
5. Bard
6. Druid

When I put that list together, I found it interesting you could make good cases for rearranging 1-5 but not for #6.

Let’s give our leafy friends a little love.

Fred K, Where did you rank the Ranger?

The damage wheel for the Necklace is the second highest melee damage wheel. It beats Asher's and Welfor's on average. I thought the understanding was the Necklace was a particular type of build....bashy bashy. Similar to how the Ranger Legendary is for a Range Ranger. I understand that if you don't want to bash it is not very helpful, but looking at it in that light does it change anyone's perception of how powerful it is?

Not advocating against or for a power up for the necklace, but I don't understand thinking it is not powerful. Granted only in particular build, but in those builds the Druid hits hard as an Elemental.

I forgot about the Ranger one, Ranger would rank at 4 or 5. The companion ability isn’t as helpful as we’d thought it would be but the range damage bonus is huge along with the ability to use scrolls let’s ranger overtake druid for the most versatile character at higher difficulty levels.

Yes - the damage wheel is good but because of the low initial str of a druid combined with not having as many damage and to hit bonus items as a fighter or barbarian, you cap out at around +16-18 to hit and +30 dmg. To get there, you have to dump almost all your spell casting items so you lose any versatility.

I think it needs to be compared to the other Class Legendary tokens to gauge it's power level, and I think it falls well short in that comparison.

I 100% agree you lose versatility of the Druid, if you want to bash. I built a druid that without consumbables (including no runestones), no bardsong has a +24 to hit and +49 Polymorph damage. That means it is averaging 60 damage. I put in CoA, ISSN, ISGN and ISPN because I knew I could not cheat and not use those in slots.
