Please consider adjusting the individual tokens down a bit in power to be a little more in mine with the strength of the might set items.

Also, let's not forget that ranged now impacts spells as well.

Very much so! Compare this belt to the belt of Might for example.

Also, note that the new lenses stack with sniper specs via Cranston’s, giving a massive +6 hit and +2 damage. Not sure if this is intentional, or not.

Girdle of Might was first printed 11 years ago, in 2011. At that time, the best Melee belt in the game was Girdle of Hill Giant Strength at +3 STR. +2 STR and +1 saves alone, without a set bonus, was comparably good.

Since then we've seen some steps up in the waist slot, +3 STR is now an Exalted effect, not a UR effect.

I could see an argument for bringing the ranged belt into line with Belt of the Brave or Girdle or Stone Giant Strength.

Asking for it to be in line with the Girdle of Might is asking ranged players to play in 2011 while melee plays in 2022, power level wise.

How should granting +1 level at 3 pieces factor into power level? The might belt basically adds 1 level at 3 piece with no penalty like you would get using Ring of Fateful Heroism or Cooks Hat. That basically means the Girdle of Might is worth another +1 saves and 1 or more ring slots, or is worth 2 Ioun stones. Furthermore, the set bonus allows it to add another +2 damage once you hit 4 pieces (thus the Girdle of Might is really +1 hit, +3 damage, and +1 all saves and very much relevant in 2022).

The Deadshot belt should likely be +2 hit and +2 damage - it adds +hit over arcane belt, it matches girdle of stone giant strength in hit and damage without a penalty. This is double true if we get future set items that add benefits with more pieces fit.

I could see Deadshot at +2/+2 and -1 STR.

I suppose my point about how to take the set bonus into account is that Girdle of Might, when printed, was arguably best in slot without the set bonus (gain +1 to saves, lose -1/-1 to melee if your STR is odd vs the other contendor), so there's no reason a BiS-ish ranged belt can't also grant 1/3rd of level 5.

The truth is having 3 slots locked to get your bonus is a cost. You can’t go look there is a better set of gloves or a better belt over there, so you are paying a slot cost. Also you most likely need to do 3 PYPs if we base prices on recent auction prices that is probably $360 or more.

So I think the +1 level is fair, I took the point of this thread as what else. I think leaning into the ranged nature of this set is the right thing to do.

Also if we move the belt to bing a range only item it fits the set better, and not trying to outdo other UR belts because it does something different.

Also how many of us are giving up our belt for this anyways. I figure most of us are on the forms are running legendarily or relic belts already. Maybe arcane belt for its focus. This is a set for entry level players, I think it’s more important to actually hit the monster than how much damage you do to it when your a newer player, plus there are other ways to add damage in the set.
