+2 Dual Shot Sling
Not sure parenthetical is necessary, but it could go either way. The word Ammo usually isn't capitalized.
Gameplay note- there is no useable ammo for this sling in 2023.
May turn in up to 2 ammo tokens each rd

+2 Sun Scimitar
The 'o' in 'FOB' should be lower case.
(FoB weapon)

Boots of Puhweehwa
'With' feels like it should be an ampersand. Boots of the Marauder used two ampersands and looks cleaner.
The 'with' in front of Incorporeal is usually 'vs'.
Drop Oxford comma.
+2 to AC & immunity to Surprise, Maze, Petrification & 50% miss chance vs Incorporeal

Cloak of Retribution
Wording is cleaner than Belt of Thorns, so I think it should stick. But the two are worded slightly differently for the same effect.

Figurine of Power: Phoenix
2013 version uses 'cures' instead of 'heals'. 2013 also has erroneous 'free action' text, so it's fine to go with new wording. Just pointing out the cures/heals thing.

Gloves of Focus
There is a rare from 2020 named Gloves of Focus.
With how Shirt of the Shrewd and Arcanum Shirt are shaping up, it would be better to just use the mechanic name.
Hand Wraps of Focus
+2 to Focus

Greaves of Absorption
Tokens usually omit the Oxford comma
-2 damage from Acid, Cold, Fire, Darkrift, Poison & Shock

Robe of Skill
'1/game' should be in parentheses to match other tokens
(1/game)

Ian Lee wrote: Gloves of Extra Focus or Gloves of Superior Focus. Greater continues the confusion with inconsistent naming conventions and will become more confusing when they get reprinted and become part of transmute path.

They also should say +2 Focus now that Focus is getting defined and is used on two other tokens in the same set, including another UR.

Jeff, in the previous transmute thread (I know this is the UR thread lol) I asked about healers getting on the then legendary gloves and you said something like "remind me next year I have a great idea for caster gloves.

I just wanted to ask if that was still in the cards because I'd hate to buy these Focus UR gloves (and I will, yes please!) and then the next year turn around have to buy another UR for a transmute path in the same slot.

I'm guessing events have changed because there aren't any legendary gloves anymore but I felt compelled to ask anyways.

THANKS as usual!

For the Gloves of Focus, I would consider revising them to a more towards clerics and/or polymorph playstyles.

Damage oriented casters will still use the exalted Blessed Tempest gloves which give +3 damage.

Polymorph oriented people would have to choose between this and +4 or more STR gloves that benefit both hit and damage.

Clerics limited damage spells are slide spells, and polymorphed attackers can use more to hit bonuses.

Maybe: +3 to hit with slid spells and polymorph attacks, +2 to healing spells? I guess that would be awkward as the +3 to hit won’t go on the party card.

Anyway - I don’t see wizards using this, and so I’d bend the design toward clerics/Druids/bards.

My only concern with another UR ioun means there won’t be a completion token version. I think having a Ranged version of Jasper would be good

Here is a different spin on the gloves, as we really haven’t explored much design space at UR+ regarding skill checks.

Gloves of skillful Focus

+2 Focus
+3 bonus to successful skill checks

This gives wizards that want to lean into skill checks a +2 damage bonus over blessed tempest (assuming they pass the check). If they don’t want to skill check, they still get +2 or can use blessed tempest.

100% poly Druids may prefer +str gauntlets, but jack of all trades Druids might like the boost that passing skill checks involves.

Clerics just get better Healing gloves than the rare gloves of Healing / gloves of Focus.

If we went this route, you could open up a whole new build style: Skill Check focused. Any where we have a <item> of Focus, you could have a a <item> of skillful Focus that has less base damage and healing but adds extra value to a passed skill check.

Edit:
Thinking this over as I cross posted a little to the transmute thread, +2 Focus and +3 skill check might actually be too much. It’s fine for a one off, but if we made 10 of these items (ring, bead, crown, charm, ioun, etc) having +30 to the skill check would be a lot. Maybe gloves of skillful Focus should be +2 Focus, +2 to successful skill check.
