Will check to see what satins I have, I think I may just have the satin to match, will check in the morning and send you a pic so you can see the fabrics together. :)

That would be beautiful in a vest or bodice.

Yes, thats the nice thing about having a couple yards to play with I can make different things, and bodices will definitely be among them.
I recently got a pattern for a bodice that ranges from size extra small to 3X!
I got a medium cut out of the gold/black skull fabric in that pattern. And when I get the time will make it up. I got some cotton buckram to use as an underlining for the skull brocade since its a relatively lightweight acetate material. Should be interesting to play with as I've never used buckram before.
I also look forward to getting to work up that gold/black vine fabric.
I also got a light lavender and silver reniassance paisely brocade as well. Now I just need more time and good days for working. *little laugh*

Hey Kim,

Sorry I took so long getting back to you. I had a dress to make.
Alrighty, so the satin I have isn't a great match. And yesterday when I ran to Hancock Fabrics I checked and they didn't have anything similar.

Here are pictures of the two fabrics together. Colors not very true in pic as I think I didn't chose the best flash setting. :\

Slightly off topic, but just some feedback for you DD; the red and black skull bag you made me rocks! It's sturdy, functional, and dead sexy. It worked wonderfully all con long as a token bag (sometimes with obscene numbers of tokens in it), and now is entering service as "The Intimidator - dicebag of the GM." Thanks for the great product :-)

(bear with me I am a tad rusty...)

aye, a finer bag there has never been

mine is too fine for dice indeed so tokens only shall meet the skull face

lest the bag be jinxed by luck or random sin

quickly now - this is not a race, but

Who will find the next best fabric for sis, the pixie to grace

us all with a pattern, a corset, a vestment of gold

Who indeed will be so bold.

Hail to SIS the maker of such things.

Would that she treasured them as golden rings

But such things would not please her not even fall into her ranks

not more so than all of our kind wishes or our thanks!

THANKS SIS!

Was much amused with what you did share,
And appreciate your hugs and your care,
So let me weave a sweet dream and goodnight,
In a pixies watch and wish I once did write;

In the whispers of the night,
The floating pixie lights,
Trapse and roam about,
Seeking mischief out,

Hollows ring with childlike laughter,
In the night muses chase after,
These elusive figures of the dark,
When the dawn arise, Hark!
The light float and drift away,
Now no longer at play,

Hidden from sight, but not sound,
Hear their gentle steps on the ground.
Tricks, and fun games to be played,
But first retribution to be made,
The thoughts of it all a dream,
Thoust awakens, calm, serene,

So in the morning stir, thoughts arise
Of what ever shall one surmise,
Truth in a surreal dream, or reality?
Either answer brings incredulity,
So ponder the thoughts, and notions,
About the nights commotions,

Let it be but an entertainment,
In a dreams containment,
Brought forth to only amuse,
Perchance some sleep you did lose,
Humble apologies, offered to you,
So sleep well, in dreams of colors arrayed,
Peaceful dreams until the dawns rays.

Sleep sweet, dreams sparkled in magic,
Chasing away fears, and memories tragic,
So sound sleep, and rest to you,
In a pixies watch over you

Sweet dreams. :)
