TOPIC: GC 2017 Steak Dinner After Golden Ticket Run

As usual we tend to have dinner after the GT run at a local steak place. I am happy to coordinate again - please start sending PM to me if you are interested. We normally get a reservation for as early as possible. The GT even may get moved forward or backward, still waiting for a confirmation from Jeff. Right now I have us down for 9:30 PM at Ruth Chris and will adjust accordingly. Yes I know St Elmo's has great shrimp but I think the steak is better at Ruth Chris. They can accommodate between 10 and 20 easily so everyone is welcome. If you just want to come for appetizers or drinks that is fine.

Please remember to bring cash because they have a policy of one check for a large party and a suggested 20% gratuity.

Im in, and would add a 2nd vote for St. Elmo's.
The dry aged steak is probably the best steak I have ever had, and I have had a LOT of steak.

I also prefer St Elmo's only because we have Ruth's Chris here at home and because of the shrimp cocktail. However as I understand it they wanted a minimum of $75 per person to reserve the room and last year some people had to pay extra cash to meet that minimum. When we are eating dinner at 10PM at night I'm not going to down a whole steak with appetizer and sides...

But I might just hit up St. Elmo's another night if we don't do it Wednesday.

I think it is really funny that it says Steak Dinner. Like if you are not having Steak you cannot join....but maybe that is just me.

But seriously, for those who have eaten with me, you know I mostly eat just meat, quite the opposite of other people!

The title though would not just limit you to meat. It would limit you to only steak. No chicken, pork, fish, shrimp...

Just giving my 2 cents - happy to go wherever it is organized ($75 per person to reserve is not cool).

Does that also preclude steak and non-steak entree items? E.g., could one order surf & turf?
