TOPIC: Pokemon go friends

Gyms can definitely spawn them.

Make sure you have open egg slots when opening presents if you are looking for eggs. I live in Virginia and recently hatched eggs sent to me from Canada. After trading the Pokemon from those eggs it counted the distance from where the egg came from not it's location at the time if hatch. This will help with the distance needed for the new badge.

Interesting when it fist launched I got up to like 16 gifts but I haven't gotten one since. I've been handing them out but haven't dropped below 5 yet. so i'll see what happens when that time comes.

I did get a message that "that player already has an unopened gift from you" so there's that.

Seems limited to 1 gift sent per day, if they open it, per person.

For the first few hours, there was no cap on gifts in your inventory (that is, gifts you got from a pokestop, not gifts sent to you from friends). But that was soon changed (fixed?) to having a maximum of five. It's not 5 max per day, it's just a max of five at any given time.

It's also worth noting that you can only improve your friendship level with a given friend once per day. So if you raid with a friend (raiding with a friend increases friendship) and then send that friend a gift, the gift will not increase your friendship level. They'll still get the goods though, so it's not totally worthless.

I'd guess my egg rate when I have space is about 75%. It's common to get one, but definitely not guaranteed.
